If Cammelleri could be had for very little while moving 2 of Pyatt/Powe/Asham then he should be in there. He can play either wing. He did in Montreal.

I think Bickell is alot better than people give him credit for. If the Rangers could get him for 3 million (fat chance lol), they would be fools not to, he's exactly what a 3rd liner should be, and he's not out of place in the top 6 either.r

Don't want Bickell within 100 miles of this team. People never learn.

Edit: You're welcome for that Bickell, lol

When he's hot, like now, he is a good complimentary top 6 LW IF he plays with very skilled players.

He will get paid like Ryan Malone. 4-5 years @ 4+ million per year.

Moses and Messier are both great leaders but, once again, no coaching experience

Moses is like Torts. Everything he believes about coaching is written in stone. We need someone more flexible.

Post of the night.

Now lets hear what these supposed agrees upon trades are that were waiting until the playoffs were done.

Come on. Most people in here would absolutely love having a player like Bickell on the roster.

What most people don't want is to give him a 4M x 5-6 year deal which honestly I could see a team offering.

The Rangers need to develop their own Bickell. Easier said than done, to be sure.

Could someone clarify. The draft is on Sunday only this year? Its usually 1st round on the Friday night and rounds 2 to 7 on Saturday.

They compacted it all into one day, on Sunday?

This is it right here.

Bickell was drafted in 2004, had few up and down years, it took him 9 years to get to this point. If he were a Rangers prospect he would have been called all kinds of names.
To get players like him fully developed you need patience, which is a virtue i find sorely lacking on these boards.

Luckily we have our own RFAs to sign. Don't waste time on overpaying the 4th line. Id like to see Lindberg, Fast(h), Miller, Dorsett, Hagelin comprise of the bottom six. Add a veteran in there. No more elephants and one dimensional overpaid garbage.

I dont see any team giving him 5-6 years, only the ELITE players will sniff contracts that long with the caps going down and the new cap capture rule.

well if Richards stays really all they can do is sign RFAs then go with the players you mention as options

I think you are underestimating the power of the free market. We will find out.

FWIW, I definitely agree. But the Rangers haven't seemed to draft many players in that mold regardless. Jessiman pick definitely scared them off a bit. Fingers crossed for Yogan.

What 4th line? as a matter of fact, what 3rd line are you talking about not overpaying?

With names like Bickell, Stalberg, Briere, and others being thrown around, along with Clowe, Pyatt, Asham. Boyle. Newbury, Haley...

Those players would be ****ing horrendous.

The Rangers were an immobile, predictable, herd of elephants. No transition. Not enough speed to get through the neutral zone, or to win races to pucks. Complete lack of skill in the bottom six.

Infuse skill, speed, and hungry youth.

Worked just fine for the Blackhawks.
