I would love Bickell on this team for a manageable contract...3 years 9 million...guy is a horse and challenges for the puck every chance he gets. If Richards is on this team next year we are ****ed. Huge risk and very little reward..even if he scores 20 and has 30 assist...is that worth 6.66 a year.

No versatility, though. Doesn't PK. Doesn't play PP. $3m for a 3rd liner filling a single role is a lot.

I'm not trading MDZ for Burmistrov. Del Zotto is a 40 point defenseman. Burmistrov's career point total is 58. And he wants out. I get the potential factor, but thats a risk I'm just not taking. I'm all for trading for him, but I'm not trading a 40 point D-man for a guy who wants out, isn't going to re-sign, and MIGHT break out soon.

Oh, I forgot. Bickell is a big body. He must be useful on the powerplay...

the guy has talent, a big motor and improves when the games matter the most and size that this team lacks...seems to make sense to me...but what do I know.

Bickell plays on their 2nd PP unit. At least he is right now. He has been a net front presence for them but he isn't a PKer.

Stalberg would be a disaster here. He is a 4th liner in Chicago.

I still think Clowe or Raymond wou,d be solid additions for depth. Both add different things.

Bickell was just on the PP.

Rather have Stalberg. Kreider and Callahan can be that big body.

I would sign both...Callahan is 5'10 with heels on and 185 with a wet robe on. I love Cally to death but he will continue to break down if he is our biggest hitter...he has to scale back.

Stalberg sucks. Cannot believe people want him. He was a healthy scratch over Brandon Bollig at one point for ****'s sake.

Stalberg is ass. Mason Raymond can play that role to a tee and obviously has the connection with AV. Wouldn't be surprised to see him and Lapiere sign here July 5.

If I'm trading MDZ I want Burmistrov and their pick.

MDZ has more value than some think.

2011–12 79 22 21 43 34

2012–13 47 9 14 23 25 - he would have been our 6th leading scorer this year.

he is 6'3 210 and 27, if you can get him for 4 million for 2 years...you do that in a heartbeat...he sat for Bollig because of the bruins having Chara, Lucic, Thornton, McQuaid, Boychuck, etc...

Cally is 5'11 185...where does 210 come from?

Stalberg has the hockey IQ of a peanut and he doesn't use his size. He's pretty much Rico Fata. No thanks. He sucks. You can clearly see that he's pretty useless in these cup finals if you've actually been watching.

Signing both of those guys would necessitate a lot of movement

Let's say we buy out Richards, sign a winger (we'll call him MacArthur, for fun) and re-sign Clowe.

That roster, in terms of wingers, is nearly impossible to predict how it will shake out. Nash will be on the first line. That's about it.

LW possibilities: Nash, Kreider, Hagelin, Zuccarello, Clowe, MacArthur, Pyatt
RW possibilities: Nash, Callahan, Zuccarello, MacArthur, Dorsett

9 wingers for 8 spots. But where they'll slot is so up in the air, it's a little ridiculous to try to predict.
