I don't see Callahan or Hank getting much of a raise. They are paid quite well.. put a team that can win and Hank will stay. Girardi probably gets a raise

Streit, 35, had spoken of wanting to return as the 2013 season wound down, but he and the Islanders are far apart in contract requirements with the July 5 start of free agency looming. The Islanders are believed to have made a three-year offer for the same $4.75 million per season that Lubomir Visnovsky accepted on the eve of the trade deadline (Visnovsky's deal is for two years), but Streit is looking for north of $5.5 million per season.

With the free agent market for defensemen very thin, Streit could command $6 million per year and even possibly get a four-year deal. The Islanders wanted Streit back to keep the continuity Garth Snow has built, but the Isles GM is also not interested in busting his salary structure to keep Streit.

The Rangers can't afford $5.5M-$6M. Even if they could,Streit is 35 years old. 35 plus contract.

Streit can go **** himself with those demands. Age backwards and learn to play defense and we can talk.

Free Agency starting on the 5th is huge for us, this way Sather wakes up on the 1st, "signs" a bunch of guys to ridiculous contracts, leaves to go fishing without realizing he didn't actually sign anyone. On the 5th Clark and Gorton do the real signings.

If the only way Callahan resigns here is if he's making 5M+, then I hope they let him walk.

Giving him that kind of money with I'm sure at least 4 years would be absolutely asinine. He's another shoulder injury away from being Chris Drury 2.0.

If he gets an updated new contract, he is already Drury 2.0

no, both are paid pretty well and want to be Rangers. Plus as far as Hank goes, we can give him more years than anyone bc of tge new Cba

1 more year. Henrik and Callahan will get paid. Girardi too. The 8 years also means Henrik can demand the maximum years allowed. It goes both ways.

Haha.

Gorton is a very good guy for the Rangers to have in the org. I think we see some more hands on work by him this offseason.

I do believe each will get a slight raise not much though. I also think Hank and Cally love NY and will take fair deals if we have a contending team
