I would expect this goal production from this group:

Elias -25
Zajac -20
Henrique -20
Zubrus -10
Loktionov -10-15
Josefson -5
Tedenby -depends on his role...I still think in the right spot he could put up 10-20
Clowe-10
Ryder-25
Brunner-15-20
Olesz -5
Bernier-5
Carter -5
Gionta -5
Barch -0

Defense - 20

I can agree with most of this, but I think Zubrus can score 15 if healthy the full season, Clowe should get at least 15 if healthy too, and Josefson needs more than 5. I would say 10 goals should be a must for Josefson if he's healthy and in the NHL the whole year. It could be less than that if he's putting up a lot of assists I suppose.

Very realistic numbers. I approve. Let's be ambitious and say 10 goals for Tedenby.

190 as a team.

That would be 29th in 2011-12, 29th in 2010-11, 30th in 2009-10, 30th in 2008-09, 30th in 2007-08, 30th in 2006-07, and 30th in 2005-06.

I'm counting on our defense and goaltending to carry us, while the offense comes up with timely goals like last year's Kings.

Aside from the d being high, that looks good to me.. But we are still under 200 :shakehead

I think it quite possibly can be over 190. Maybe 210, we were on pace for like 191 this year in 82 games. That's without Kovalchuk for almost a quarter of the season, and him barely producing at even strength at all. He only scored 3 goals 5 on 5. One of his even strength goals was a 4 on 4 OT winner.

I'm thinking the shorthanded scoring will decrease, but the PP scoring might make up for what we lost. I think the PP will be better. Kovalchuk barely scored with the one timer at the point this past season. I think maybe two times. One was on a 5 on 3, and the other was the goal that wasn't signaled right away, and was reviewed after a few minutes of wasted playing. His shot on the point was mostly useless last year anyway.

Those are my thoughts . I really do think Henrique is ready to take that next step

That is a solid top 6. I like the thought of the Czech Swiss Canadian sandwich line.

we don't have any 1st line forwards, I guess you could make an argument for Elias but he's older and doesn't have that speed anymore

Your off on A LOT of guys or just pessimistic. Clowe is not scoring 10 next year. He'll get 17-25 which is his career norm. Bernier will get at least 10. Brunner will get 25-30, which he was on pace for in an 82 game season this year. Henrique will get around 25. I think he will bounce back very well. Carter could easily get 10. If Zubrus can stay healthy like he did in 2011, he'll get 15-25.
