Do people with tickets to both games get to stay at the stadium or do they get kicked out?

They get kicked out. At the old Stadium you had to move your car and pay for parking twice. I think the parking policy may have changed. I gotta laugh when I see the attendance as 40,000 people. I bet 15,000 people are physically at the game this afternoon.

Wasn't he signed under-slot? I think there was some logic behind the pick other than pure upside.

I'm pretty sure they did, but then they couldn't sign Stankiewicz so I can't imagine the draft ended up working how they wanted it to.

It looks like they did a much better job using the new draft rules on this draft, just from a cursory glance. Got a handful of the guys in the top draft spots to sign underslot, and then they took a gamble on the Bashlor kid in the 11th.

I'd have gone. Cheap bleacher seats is a good deal to me.

Do you really think Cecchini is a stud ODC? No sarcasm here, but everything i've read about him says his value is in the fact he can probably stick at short in the majors, but not significantly above average D and with a meh bat to boot. I was really down on that pick and still am, with the caveat that i've never watched him play a single game .

Obviously it's only one game but he was miserable in the Cyclones' season opener on Monday.

Fun ending to the Dodger-Yanks game, sloppy ending but entertaining. First time I was able to watch Puig, electric player.

He may have been, but the Mets are not at a point where they can be cheap with these draft picks.

Plawecki looks like he'll be a good player though.

still dont see a real stud outfielder in the system though :shakehead

Mets don't need to address every need through their farm system. It's a great way to build, but the Mets can always grab an Outfielder or two from Free Agency. Would like Shin-Soo Choo. Could be a solid lead off hitter for the Mets.

Cecchini did sign under the slot by around 200K.

I don't think he'll ever be a star but he could be a good player for a long time.

I think he was a major reach at 12. Safe pick with limited upside is not really where I wanted the Mets to go.

Nimmo was a high risk high reward pick.

The worst part for Mets fan about Nimmo pick is that Jose Fernandez went 1 pick later.

Wheeler didnt even have his best stuff and he is still looked dominant. I cant wait until his next start when he is less nervous and more on his agme. I love Harvey but i think wheeler has even better stuff once he gets it all together

Harvey also ironed out his control issues. That's something Wheeler is yet to do. Plenty of time though.

Yeah, Nimmo will be a stud if he puts it all together. He's having a tough time adjusting to pro ball, but you're right, Fernandez the pick after stings a bit. Imagine him in that rotation with Harvey and Wheeler right now.

MLB Draft is the biggest wildcard of them all. You never know with 40 rounds and sometimes these guys can take 5-7 years just to make it.

That's how the draft works. It really bothers me when everybody (even GKR this season!) talks about Fernandez going after Nimmo, making Nimmo a meh pick. It happens. The Indians drafted Drew Pomeranz before Matt Harvey. The Jays picked some righty who's not even one of their top 10 prospects now before Chris Sale.

If Nimmo figures out how to hit lefties he'll be a great player. That's the nature of the draft.

The first thing the Yankees have to do is fire Kevin Long. He turned Teixeira from a fantastic all-around hitter into a .250 homerun or nothing guy, and now he's steadily whittling away at Cano.

This hit a homerun or it's a failure approach is largely his doing.

The first thing the Yankees have to do is fire Kevin Long, re sign Cano, and build around him and move everyone else at the deadline who is a FA to be. The Yankees need to be sellers. It's time to stop patching teams together who aren't good enough to win a WS just because of the "win every year" expectation. The quicker that happens, the better the Yankees will be. A rebuild IS coming. sooner then later whether the Yankees want it or not.

honestly would not mind a Adrian Gonzalez type trade.

Trade ARod + Cano + Teixera to some team willing to spend like the Dodgers for average prospects.

Clear cash and sign veteran stop gaps.

And build around who? Gardner? Hope prospects pan out? Cano is a keeper.

How else can you dump that deadweight though?

Maybe trade CC with it instead?

Sign Josh Johnson to a lucrative contract this offseason.

Ride out A-Rod and Teixera contracts. Good luck finding a team that is willing to take on those contracts. Tex has 3 years around 70 mill left after this season and A-Rod has 4 years at around 90 left. Bringing back Cano is a must. Surely he'll be overpaid but he can at least gives us another 4-5 years of elite production.

Stay away from Josh Johnson. Way too fragile and he'll end up getting overpaid.

Let's be honest, if the Yankee REALLY want to get rid of Arod they can. Just release him. Whether you keep him or cut him, you're not getting what you thought you would the duration of the contract. So does it really matter?
If you keep him, he's going to always be hurt. Hardly productive. Eventually, he'll just be taking up a roster spot.

Teixeira is on the decline, but he's still a useful player.

The Yankees are not signing Josh Johnson. They're trying to get under the tax/cap. Do not look for them to spend money this off season other than Cano. Josh Johnson is also not needed.

Sabathia
Pineda
Ramirez ??
Nova
Phelps

Maybe Kiroda is back.
Banuelos (2015??) Campos further down.
Good pen arms.

I like the pitching going forward.

So in other words, keep banging our heads against the same wall that's made us progressively worse since the World Series year?

Either rebuild or don't. The middle man has to go.

Those types of trades are extremely rare. Who out there is going to take those contracts without sending bad contracts in return? I don't see a single team.

Yeah pitching is last of our worries.

Guys, pick up Zoilo Almonte on the Yanks. He's the real deal. 2% owned in Yahoo leagues.

huge debut, yesterday, now has all 3 RBI so far today for the Bombers. I hate the Yankees, but this guy should be grabbed before it's too late.

You're welcome.
