I'm going by our board's winter prospect ranking. I think we had St. Croix at 15. If St. Croix is around 15, I'm fine with Hrivik there, too.

What 15 prospects do you have above Hrivik?

In no order:

Miller
Kristo
Fast
Lindberg
Tambo
Duc
Buch
Nieves
Fogarty
Skjei
McIlrath
Allen
Haggerty
Andersson
Graves

Probably just about whoever we draft in the first 4 rounds this year, too.

Graves has moved up my list with his performance this season.

I don't know what to make of Andersson yet. I like the upside, but he hasn't really come close to putting it together yet.

Tambellini is pretty blah. I guess Hrivik is, too, but Hrivik is blah at a higher level.

For what it's worth, I don't think Hrivik has been nearly as bad as his numbers suggest. I think he's snake bitten and frustrated, but plays decently most nights.

I would say Hrivik should be in the 10-15 range even though he's had a ****** year. He is still a decent prospect for us. After all Hartford hasn't been good this year and aren't making the playoffs. Maybe if certain things are changed with the Wolfpack and with his summer agenda, Hrivik could still push for a spot in New York.

His shots per game are way down as well.

I wouldn't describe Tambo as blah. He was prior to his WHL performance. Those are some amazing numbers in the WHL and he's obviously a lot bigger and stronger than St. Croix.

One thing I hate about Hrivik is his skating. Just the ugliest stride I've seen since Sandy McCarthy.

Agreed. I had him lower, but in watching a lot of Wolfpack games since the start of the year, he's really picked up his game. His last weekend he wasn't as noticeable, but prior to that he was one of the team's best players most nights. He's also routinely playing with absolute ******* as linemates most nights. I still think he's got a shot at a productive NHL career.

I wouldn't say his WHL performance has been amazing. It's been very good, but amazing is really pushing it. He's a power play specialist right now. We knew he had offensive skill--this isn't a surprise. Can he battle, can he handle the physical rigors of professional hockey? I'm skeptical.

Fogarty will never be as good as Hrivik is right now. He is a crap prospect who will spend his career in the ECHL. As a 21 year old, he can't break double digits in college. When was the last time someone like that made the NHL?

I don't need to hear that his talents are not offensive. Even to be a defensive NHLer, you need to skate, see the ice, pass, etc. All of that results in points at a lower level.

I agree with you. He should be dominant with his skills and age. Not sure if he's not used to leading and will adjust or it's just not in him.

Here's my report on Tambellini. Includes a clip of a beautiful assist from 3/11/14. LMAO not Jeff...

Its just not him, just like it was just not in his pop or his bro.

And that assist is a beauty, but try that at Center ice even strength in the NHL and you get bulldozed ;)

Small chance I can watch Quebec in the first round of the playoffs. It'd be awesome if it lined up

I think everyone knows that I'm not the biggest Fogarty fan (even if I loved the pick at the time).

I'd still rank him higher. I think Fogarty has nice potential as a bottom 6 guy (probably a 4th liner).

I would say that that article should probably be corrected. He's not turning 20 for another nine months. That's not exactly "soon."

Good to see you guys are talking about Tambo. This kid has become my favorite WHLer. The kid makes some great passes. On a game to game basis he just looks so much more skilled than anyone else out there.

Tambellini with 2 primary assists through 2 periods. For those interested, neither were PP goals. :)

Donnay had a primary assist and was +1 in Erie's 10-1 shellacking of Plymouth. He also had 9 minutes of penalties (2 min stick to the head, 2 min cross check, fight).

Graves had a primary assist and was +3. He also had a roughing minor.

Duclair appears to still be out, unfortunately.

Brady Skjei played a really good game last night. He was really active. Joining the rush. Pinching. Skjei scored the Gophers first goal. He is playing with a lot of confidence. I think that was his best game of his college career so far after having seen 2/3 of his games. Minnesota clinched the regular season Big 10 title last night. They will be the top seed heading into next weeks Big 10 tournament. Michigan is a bubble team for the NCAA tournament. Michigan plays Minny again tonight. A win would help Michigan who plays Penn State in the first round of the tournament. Minnesota has an excellent shot of winning the whole thing in April.

Ryan Graves' team destroyed Blainville last night, probably the best team in the Q. Great showing by that team, Graves left with a +3 which was tops on either side. I really like his move to Val-d'Or, they have soared up the standings since Graves joined.

Really sucks that Duke is still out.

Make it another for Skjei. He's got both of Minny's goals tonight. Even rating with Minny losing 6-2.
