Even better was Washington fans gloating that they got a future stud in Kundratek after a couple of games.

huh that's surprising. I would like to have him back that's for sure. but do they have the space?

any cuts/waivered NYR today? guess we have to wait till after noon although this leaked

NHL updated some of their player profile pictures.

I think if people don't put high expectations on Pouliet, I think he will be a great addition for extra depth. But he could just as easily be turned into the fans newest whipping boy.

Kundratek? Really? If he was never a Ranger property, would anyone really be clambering to claim him?

I think it's more of we'd take anybody over Bickel at this point.

Don't mind him as a player, but not what we need.

If he is the healthy scratch next to Falk we have 1 LHD and 1 RHD, a proper pairing.

Plus he had 31p in 47gp in Hershey last season, cannot possibly be worse than Aaron Johnson.

Granted, I wouldn't be nearly as interested if his cap hit wasn't $550k.

Well, he's young, cheap and right-handed. Also posted good numbers in the AHL. So invariably people would be clamoring for his addition, because his profile page on HockeyDB makes him look like a good player.

He looked good in Hershey during the lockout as well in Hershey. That is when I was able to see him live.

Edmonton Oilers places Ryan Jones on waivers.. would be an upgrade over Powe or Asham...

He has looked really bad after his eye injury. I would rather Haley or one of the young guys.

i would too but id take Jones any day over Pyatt Powe or even Asham... although Asham i doubt will be sent to the minors. teams would snatch him up without a doubt.. maybe a team that needs some veteran grit can use Asham

He's not the same player he was just a year ago. I would stay away. There will be better players passing through waivers IMO.

Sign Stepan slightly above $3M
Waive Powe. Demote him with a minor cap penalty if he is not picked up (whoa - he has been SHOWCASED)
Trade Pyatt for a 5th/6th or perhaps even Corey Potter (who you then can demote)
Pickup Kundratek (if no Potter...) off waivers as a #8 RD
Keep Fast plus 2 of Miller, Lindberg and Kreider with the big team for the time being.
Place Hagelin on LTIR the 1st 10 games
