But he's not a good fit at 4-3 MLB. He fits much better on the outside in a 4-3. Or inside in a 3-4. You need to be able to stop the run to man the middle in a 4-3. He can't do that. As slip said, MLB is not a valuable draft position unless you are an ELITE MLB like Kuechly. Mosley is no Kuechly.

I read your prior posts.

I'll agree to disagree Jesus lol

Yep. Do not want.

The system can be pretty effective. But gilbride was a bit stubborn this year especially and it cost them.

Overall I think he's more of a fall guy with Eli playing like crap. But I did like Sullivan. He had Eli playing really well

I'm just saying what a lot of people are. The dude is going to move outside in a 4-3. If we go LB, I'd much rather take Mack at that position.

Mack and Mosley play completely different positions and roles.

Mack is probably the sam in an under front. Mosley is a weakside linebacker. Weakside backers are more valuable unless the Sam also provides pass rush on passing downs.

And that's the only significant question mark I have with Mack. Can he be a Von Miller type rusher on passing downs. He certainly has the physical ability. But he just didn't do it much in college. Which scares me. Dion Jordan is another similar player to him. Tremendous physically. But why didn't he rush the QB more?

Hey, Mack scares me, too. That's why I was so against taking him for so long now. But the more I've seen of him the more I think he can function in a 4-3 and function well.

Frankly, I want TC gone and Shaw from Stanford hired. But obviously TC can never be fired.

Two more seasons of TC. Hopefully they play Dallas week 17 next year so Dallas can fire Garrett. Then the following year coughlin can retire after week 17.

All four NFC east coaches gone in a row after the giants in week 17

I assume Coughlin is gone if there is no or minimal improvement next year. He'll "retire."

Well he's fluid enough to play. But what is his role?

Yea he has the skill set to play SAM on running downs. But what happens to him when the offense spreads the field and goes 3 WR? Does Mack come off the field?

Teams spend 60%+ of the game in their nickel defense. Which means no SAM on the field.

Unless either the Sam is excellent in coverage and space, which Mack rarely does, or if the Sam can rush the passer (ala Von miller) which Mack doesn't often do.

Von Miller had the ability to do both. Play in space and rush the QB. So he never leaves the field. It's why he's so valuable. Mack needs at least one of the two skills to be worth a high draft pick

And I've spoken via twitter with multiple people who think Mosley is by far the best 4/3 MLB prospect & can make the transition.

I also think he brings a leadership we lack.

It's funny that twice you couldn't just stop arguing the point.

I wouldn't be pissed we got Mack. I think he'll be gone by 12 either way. He's gonna go ahead of Barr now I think.

I think we will end up going CB or OL based simply on value at 12.

If we don't bring in a sure fire OL via UFA Reese should strongly consider moving up into late round 1 & adding 2 OL.

They seemed to imply today they might not spend in UFA this year.

Mack won't go ahead of Barr. Barr is a top 5 pick easily. Mack is more of a 10-15 type.

Pass rusher > everything but QB

I just don't see the value, man. Not at a top 15 pick.

I'd rather take Dennard (CB) at 12 and A.J. Johnson (MLB) with our 2nd round pick. Johnson is raw but I think he has equal potential to Mosley. And we get a gigantic upgrade at CB, too. Get the best value out of both positions that way.

And see? I think Barr will flame out. I am not a fan of his.

He's still raw as heck. But he head everything you want. Size burst strength. He learns quickly. His length is unreal.

He's going to be a top 5 nfl 34 pass rusher in two years.

Is Mack ever going to be anything more than a good linebacker? I'm not so sure. And believe me. I like Mack. But what he does won't be as highly regarded as what Barr does.

The thing with Mack is that he has zero help. He gets doubled every single play that he's rushing. He's the only guy on that team. So I think it's hard to compare the guys because of that alone. I'd take Mack over Barr as of today, though. But these guys are both such polarizing players. It's sort of crazy.

Eh? What does that have to do with tom?

I feel like he's almost a lame duck. 1 maybe 2 seasons left. He's gonna hold the franchise hostage in his system. He doesn't even wanna fire KG.

I think we'd be better off with a new system. If TC can't stay long enough to implement it then why not leave?

It just feels like the right time. Tons of UFA, 2 coordinators should be fired. Let's get a new regime started IMO.

I don't buy the no help argument. Because he's also playing against crappy teams.

And I'm not comparing numbers. I'm comparing physical ability. Barr on the edge is an absolute freak. His length + his bend is scary.

Mack is more of a blitzer to me. Send him against a back or a TE and he can be devastating. Send him against an OT and he's going to get stoned
