Deadspin's comments section is great. It's not as good as it was when you had to audition to become a commenter, but it's still good.

The Incognito thing is so unsavory. I always liked to believe that kind of nonsense ended after high school or college, but I guess I'm just naive.

I always had a bit of an issue with him, too. He came off as such an unfunny ass during Hard Knocks and I knew all about his past problems. I never took him for a racist, though. Just a real ******.

It's funny, when I first heard the story last week I immediately thought of Ingognito because of how he acted on Hard Knocks. The Dolphins should release him.

How the Jets scored any points while missing Holmes, Kerley, Cumberland and Winslow is astonishing. Even with those guys, their skill players as a whole are mediocre. Without them? Horrendous. And yet they won.

Holmes is such a bum, wasted talent. Kerley is a very good slot receiver. Hill has no hands and never fights for the ball. They need a #1 WR so bad, I wish they traded for Josh Gordon on the Browns, that guy is going to be a stud. I like Cumberland + Winslow as their TE's though.

I'm clinging to a two point lead. That last completion to Marshall may be the difference for me, LOL.

Eh, at least he's honest about it. It's a job. I'd rather hear that than some ******** about how sad it all is and stuff.

Somethings are better left unsaid. It's not like you would respect someone for being like "yea i slept with your girlfriend" and be like at least he's honest about it.

No reason to respond to that tweet.

In other news maybe the Jets can kick the tires on Nnamdi and see if he has anything left.

Well, after I kicked his ass I'd appreciate his honesty instead of trying to cover it up.

My opponent dropped Woodhead for Zac Stacy 4 hours before the Sunday games started, Stacy scored 29.80. I'm suspecting he owns a time machine. Oh, and he has Romo, Peterson, and Graham as well. :help:

Morris, Garcon, and Gronkowski ensured that I still have a shot though, I'm down 31 points with Lacy and Marshall left to play while my opponent has no players left.

Despite my opponent picking up 97 points from the four players mentioned above I managed to come back and win!

I needed 31 points out of Lacy and Marshall, they gave me 38! :vhappy:

Super strange week; if we disregard defence, Jamaal Charles was my worst player @ 9.80.

Victory! 167-165. Close game. I'm still in first, now 7-2.

Matt Ryan has me concerned, though with Roddy White hopefully making it back he should improve. Fortunately, I wisely picked up Cutler when some other idiot released him after the injury. He's been occupying my IR spot since then. I'm also going to swap Geno with either Foles or Keenum, depending on how the waiver dominoes fall.

Gotta love those close wins! 2 out of my three losses have occurred when I've scored the least points of all in my league, so I've definitely been lucky with matchups.

Those are some high totals though, PPR league?

We don't have IR so when Doug Martin went down I had to let him go. His replacement, Eddie Lacy, has been ridiculous though so the injury was definitely a net positive for me.

More funny things/strangeness in my league:

One guy dropped Foles for a kicker prior to this week and lost his matchup by 6 points. Though in all fairness he also has Brees and Prater was on a bye.

Regarding matchups, if you ranked the teams by the points they scored this week #1 beat #2, #3 beat #4, and #5 beat #6, and all games were within 7 points.

I was down 151-148 going into last night's game. He had nobody left. I had Aaron Rodgers.

I lost.

It's half-PPR. Which is stupid, IMO, but I'm not the commish!

The totals are on the high side. We both just had some big games. I had Adrian Peterson, Zac Stacy, Brandon Marshall and Keenan Allen. Those four combined for 103 points between them. Other guy had T.Y. Hilton and Chris Johnson score 69 points on 5 total touchdowns, and got 16 points out of Cameron Wake (we have 4 IDPs, no team defenses).

It's a funny situation, rooting against a QB that throws to your WR. You hold your breath every time they drop back, exhale when it's incomplete, curse when it's complete, and get excited when it's complete to your guy.

With a few minutes left, I'm down by half a point, knowing that Green Bay might not get the ball back, and if they do, they won't be kicking a FG--which sucks, because I have Mason Crosby. That means they'd need to score a TD and kick the extra point, which only helps me if McCown doesn't complete any passes UNLESS it's a completed pass to Marshall. LOL. Then he hits Marshall for 11, I pick up two points and am good. But then I have to start rooting against GB tying the score, as OT would lead to more opportunities for McCown to grab points!

So many scenarios playing out in your head. It's why I love fantasy football...turns "meh" games into interesting ones (not that this particular game was meh).

Oh man, that's ****ing rough.

Haha, that's an awesome situation! I always try to hedge as much as possible, like staring Stafford when going up against Megatron (though Stafford quickly turned into a must-start). A gal in my league has D. Thomas, Welker, AND Decker, I don't think she's very worried when going up against Manning.

I was mostly comparing to my total for the week (140.06) which was the third highest on the season in our league and we have a 6-man league with all-star rosters. Though our league has the most basic scoring system.

I started: Newton, Charles, Lacy, Marshall, Garcon, Gronkowski, Morris, Gostkowski, Bengals. Everyone but Charles and the Bengals D had a big game.

I was down 151-148 going into last night's game. He had nobody left. I had Aaron Rodgers.

Wow that really sucks, I'd be breaking stuff if that happened to me!

BTW I've proposed a trade to the above mentioned lady. It is obviously biased in my favour as it is the initial offer, but do you think I have a shot?

RGIII and Fred Jackson for Calvin Johnson. She has the Broncos WR squad as mentioned, her RB's are awful and Rivers is her only QB.

My counter will be D. Thomas instead of Johnson if she doesn't bite.

Rivers has been a better QB this year than RGIII.

I know, but he isn't good enough to be matchup proof IMO. RGIII would give her some flexibility. And Jackson would strengthen her back end which currently consists of Bernard, Richardson, Matthews, and Rodgers. Likely the worst set of RB's in our league.

I'm probably not getting Megatron, but maybe I can get Thomas out of this.

Jeremy Kerley did suffer an elbow dislocation, but the reports are that he'll only be out a few weeks. Maybe week 12 at Baltimore? Glad it's not season-ending. Getting Holmes, Winslow and Cumberland back in two weeks for the next game will also be huge.

Other good news is that Antonio Allen should be good to go in two weeks, and Calvin Pace is fine. Still no news on McIntyre though.

Ugh, I lost Kyle Rudolph and now I'm TE-less. Hopefully I can snag Timothy Wright, who looks like he's going to haul in a decent number of targets from Glennon.

I had Foles on my bench this week. Thankfully I still won.

It's pretty ridiculous that fantasy football can force me to look at the bright side of such a tragic injury to one of the legendary players of my life as an NFL fan, as a TY Hilton owner in a money league.

My fantasy teams always get ****ing injured. Its the curse.

I have Aaron Rodgers, Kyle Rudolph and Reggie Wayne on this one.
