Typical Callahan (in a good way). Broke his thumb blocking a shot on the last shift of the game.

....because a broken thumb is a sign of deterioration?

Drury suffered from a degenerative knee disease, not an unsustainable playing style.

How many 82 game seasons has Callahan made it through in his career? With his lack of size and playing style, I don't see him being very effective past his early 30's.

I want to say a lot of curse words, but can't, so I'll let you guys figure out what's going through my mind right now. Here's a hint, it involves the F word multiple times.

But look at those injuries. Blocked shots, jammed fingers and a twisted shoulder aren't the same as a constantly pulled groin, knee surgery, or even (God am I typing this) a concussion.

They're a result of sudden trauma that would have the same impact were he the size of Lucic. When his legs start to go out, there might be a problem, but I'm not seeing anything from him that implies it's the sort of injuries to stop his play style.

The good news is that he'll still be skating, still be training, just can't hold a stick for a while.

just bought tix for the game vs the devils THIS AFTERNOON. Might not even wear my Ranger gear now. should've waited.

I have 2 cents to say about this roster move... but I think everyone already knows what they are.

Our offensive potential is staggering.

You act like he's missed entire seasons or is Crosby or Sauer-esque. Called up in 06, played 14 games. 07/08 - 52 games, 08/09 - 81 games, 09/10 - 77 games, 10/11 - 60 games, 11/12 - 76 games, last season 45. Doesn't really seem like he's missed too much time to me

Damn that's ugly.

Hope the boys can continue to play hard. Winning vs PHI and NJ is still possible. Even with that lineup.

It is also probably Fast's big chance to show he deserves to stay in a scoring role, because I don't think he's in the twelve when everyone on this team is healthy right now.

Terrified about Callahan's next contract. Supposedly won't take less than Clarkson,(not that he should), and could see this getting awkward quickly.

"Good" thing is that we will have a real deep team come playoff. By letting all the young players get some ice time early in the season, they will be better prepared in case of injuries...but well, that is the only good thing.

You might be putting the cart before the horse.

Hahhahahaha

Cally out, Powe in.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills. This season is starting to really piss me off.
