10-14 games. Hardly the end of the world.

Jesus Christ it's friggin hockey. You'd think he was assassinated the way some of you are sulking.

My daily casual NHL.com check

>Callahan out a month

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Why does this **** happen to us

I'm just so desensitized by the start of the season that I can't even muster up enough anger

Unfortunately replacing one of the team's best penalty killers is as much a consideration as replacing their net presence on the PP.

Powe can PK. Boyle or someone else can fill in on the PP.

I hope it's not Boyle just for the fact that this board will have aneurysm lmao

Just laughable at this point. This team is surely getting it's fair share of adversity thrown at them.

Cally is a warrior but he gets injured so often. He's going to want a substantial multi-year deal... how many of those games will he actually play?

The Rangers can't know when Nash is going to be back. First the concussion symptoms have got to go away and then he might need a bit more time after that. About the best that can be hoped for is late this month--early next month but expecting the Rangers to keep their fans informed on something they can't be definitive about is expecting too much.

It's too bad that Ryan has to join him. Powe is not going to replace his offense nor is he as good as Cally is on the pk. Basically it sucks.

Some serious case of Murphy's law being thrown around this roster this year. Good times. It's a little impressive to me how you'd breat a thumb blocking a shot.. but thats bad luck for you I guess.

Richards out with a concussion in the first. Seal the deal

There goes the only good line the Rangers had since Nash went down. Who's gonna score now? Even worse I think this injury will kill any confidence/momentum the team had from yesterday's win.

I predict a rough month ahead. Hopefully they can somehow pull through it and remain in the picture. Some guys are gonna have to step up for sure.

There is some truth to that in that we don't have our guy that makes plays by himself in Nash, or our power play goal mouth threat in Callahan.

I think in their absences, our goals have to come from odd man rushes, point shots (Stepan is an apt deflector of the puck) and just general sustained pressure. But there is no question that we need to focus on the defensive game with the vacancy of our top scorers.

It's also helpful that a lot of the other teams in the division are having terrible starts. Now it's just about staying afloat until all these guys can come back. I still think with a fully healthy squad this is easily the 2nd best team in the division behind Pittsburgh.

Just a dreadful group of forwards unless Pouliot can wake up, Zucc starts putting up some points and we get consistent efforts from guys like Fast and Miller.

This may sound absolutely nuts, but at this point, it might be smarter to put Del Zotto on wing temporarily. We have a decent top six who more or less can play good sound hockey (I think that the first couple of games were an aberration.) He obviously has some skill and can play offensive hockey. It worked with Burns in San Jose. Why not give it a shot?

As a Giants fan, the feeling I have with the Rangers is very similar to the one I have with the Giants. I know it's hard to compare because it's 82 games vs 16 games but the circumstances are very similar. Maybe this is just not their year and we're finding this out early...
