This is time for one of Fast, Zuccarello or Miller to step up.

Also, it will be hard to replace Callahan's net front presence on the powerplay. Powe needs to be here for PK because Pyatt has notbeen cutting it so far.

Thankfully there are only four games over the next two weeks...hopefully Callahan will only miss 7-8 games. Hagelin will be back on the 29th. Nash will hopefully be back relatively soon. Will be a struggle over the next few weeks, but it's not the end of the world.

We have pro ready players like Powe in Hartford for a reason.

Unfortunately with Nash out Callahan was our best goal scoring threat. Hopefully Nash can return soon to fill the void.

Zucc

Guess Zucc wont be sent down then...really sucks with Cally though, he is one of the few on this team who might actually get the puck in the net.

People aren't going to want to hear it but this is the risk with signing callahan to a long term deal. He has so many major injuries that he could easily deteriorate like Drury in a few years.

....because a broken thumb is a sign of deterioration?

Drury suffered from a degenerative knee disease, not an unsustainable playing style.

The New York Walking Wounded. Move Zucc up to a line with Brass and Richards, then have Stepan and 8 fourth liners lol

if this team was tougher this wouldnt have even happened, whatever happened to his finger wouldnt have happened because players from the caps would have been thinking about the repercussions...:sarcasm:

on a more serious note im sure callahan will be back as soon as humanly possibly, nice thing about this stretch of the schedule is we dont have too many games so he wont miss too much, hopefully powe is ready to play and one of the kids can step up, we need it right now.
