possible ahl lineup?

re possible lineups, these are the guys currently likely for Hartford

Kristo Lindberg Hrivik
Bourque Miller Fast
Yogan St.Croix K.Jean
Mashinter Haley Nicholls
Carroll Kantor J.Wilson

Syvret McIlrath
A.Johnson Allen
Hughes Bickel
Noreau[Baie-Comeau

this list has Miller, Lindberg, Kristo, Fast and Hrivik all in AHL,
they, or even Haley/Mashinter could make the Rangers out of camp

on D, Bickel or Aaron Johnson will likely slot behind Falk who will be 7th D for NYR, so I list them in AHL
re McIlrath, Clark and Beukeboom have repeatedly stated he need more AHL time

the '3d line' of Yogan\St.Croix\Jean are all centers, but I do think they're all among the top 9 forwards on the list

Kantor, Nicholls, Carroll, Wilson, Hughes, Noreau could start the year in Greenville(ECHL

Noreau could be sent back to Juniors for an overage year
Donnay is not listed, as he will surely play his age 19 year in Junior

Klassen is not listed, others at this board believ he is signed but I haven't seen that

Probably something like this, though I think Bourque deserves to be placed in a better position than the 4th line, but the LW is really stacked in Hartford.

Hrivik - Lindberg - Fast
Yogan - St. Croix - Kristo
Mash - Haley - Nicholls
Bourque - Jean - Kantor/Carroll

I have no idea how defense will play out. It's all new guys. Gilroy, Pyett, Vernace, Collins, Parlett, Niemi and Delisle are all gone. Only Klassen, McIlrath and Stewie remain. Hope defense won't be as much of a disaster as it was last year, particularly before The Undertaker and Stewie arrived mid-season.

I like these forward lineups. However I'd switch Lindberg and Miller.

They have added some good, young d-men this year on defense though. Allen, Noreau and Hughes should all be pretty good. Syvret and Johnson should help add some offense to that group as well. Overall a better line-up than last year, for sure.

Also, your line-up assumes Miller and Kreider make the NHL club. Not a given. One or both of them could be in the AHL as well.

another young D , probably greenville-bound to start

my hunch is he signed an AHL deal

Dodero inks contract with New York Rangers

Sudbury Wolves defenceman Charlie Dodero has signed a professional contract with the New York Rangers' organization.

The Chicago native joins fellow Wolves' graduate Michael Kantor who also signed a professional contract with the New York Rangers in April.

The Wolves' graduates are expected to start the season in Connecticut, the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers.

Dodero, 21, was acquired by the Wolves in a trade with the Kitchener Rangers in 2010. The free agent proceeded to work his way into a top defenceman role with the Wolves on the strength of his fluid skating, offensive skills and open-ice hits.

Dodero said he was proud to be a Sudbury Wolves defenceman and made an extra effort to thank and salute Wolves' fan at the conclusion of the Wolves' final playoff game in April.

"The Sudbury Wolves are very proud of Charlie and the way in which he completed his OHL career here in Sudbury" said Wolves' GM Blaine Smith.

"Charlie was always focused on working hard both on and off the ice and he led our young players by example. We are very happy for Charlie and Michael and pleased that the New York Rangers continue to show strong interest in our graduates."

He'll probably play in the ECHL this season, too. Plenty of defesemen for Hartford now.

coupla notes re Forwards likely in Greenville this year

Jordie Johnston played in the E on a Whale contract last year, he has now signed directly with Road Warriors for '13-14

He was pretty good in the ECHL and Hartford needs a puck moving defenseman, so he has a good shot.

Mike Vernace went to Germany to play for Mannheim. Best of luck to him.

All in all he gave a very solid performance throughout last year. Seemed like a solid pro, hope he has a nice career over in Europe; he will get a chance to make some pretty good money over there.

Would think two of these players start the year on the big team (barring trades or new injuries)
Hrivik Lindberg Fasth
Mashinter Miller Kristo
Yogan St.Croix K.Jean
Asham Powe Haley
Nicholls Kantor

Carroll J.Wilson (demoted when NYR ice full regular lineup)

Syvret McIlrath
A.Johnson Allen
Hughes Bickel
Dodero Noreau

why does everyone think Johnson is an AHL signing??? he has not played a full season in the AHL since 04-05 season... him and Falk will replace Gilroy and Eminger as the 7th 8th dman on the roster.. he would have to clear waivers and with a team needing depth on defense im sure he would get claimed... Asham would be traded before demoted to the AHL, he is still an NHL player although a bit injury prone of late....

Johnson played 72 games in the AHL in 2010-11. In the last 2 years, he has played 66 NHL games and 2 AHL games.

We carried 8 dmen last year, but we normally carry 7.

Johnson can be sent down without any cap penalty.

I doubt that he would be claimed on waivers. He hardly played for boston last year (10 games) and they went with unproven rookies over him when they had injuries in the playoffs.

There is no longer re-entry waivers, so once we send him down, we can call him back if we really need him.

Staal has said that he'll be ready to go for training camp, and as close to 100% as he's ever going to get. We don't need an 8th dman on the roster, barring another injury to our top 7.

The Rangers don't care about a 1 way contract in the minors, especially when it's only 600k. Everyone expects them to send down Powe and/or Asham, and they are both on larger 1 way deals.

Keeping him on the roster if we don't actually need him is a waste of cap space.

Is that enough reasons? :D

MSG lost the bid for Nassau Coliseum. Looks like the Wolf Pack will stay in XL center for longer.

Any chance NYR move to Bridgeport now since Ratner won the bid. Sound Tigers to Uniondale and once the lease ends in 2016 the Whale move down to Harbor yards in Bridgeport?
