Right. I have no clue what I'm talking about. Fast is clearly one of the best prospects in the league and is as good as Eriksson.

My mistake. Let me go watch those 9 goals of his again

Who said that he's one if the best prospects in the league? 16 points in 21 games on a terrible Pack team in his first NA season. Yeah, he's terrible.

So you're saying having Loui Eriksson as a prospect wouldn't make him one of the best prospects in the league??

Please point out where I ever said he was terrible?

There's a massive difference between 9 goals in the ahl and being loui eriksson.

Like I said earlier, his shooting percentage is fluky high right now too, that will come down. He should have about 5 goals.

He's a good young player, but the hype train is completely going bonkers right now and it's a shame

Let me break it down for you, since reading comprehension obviously isn't your strong suit.

Nowhere did I say that Fast was as good as Eriksson, only that Fast had the upside of that type of player.

Fast is following a similar development trajectory to Eriksson. They play very similar games, with similar builds (Fast being a couple inches shorter).

I also mentioned, which you conveniently ignored, that Fast isn't likely to end up being as good as Eriksson. But, he absolutely does have every bit of that upside.

I'm sure you'll just ignore the majority of the post and cherry pick phrases, so have fun with that.

So he has the upside but he doesn't really have the upside. Solid argument there.

What do you not get? He's saying that Fast and Eriksson play the same type of game, and that Fast is having a similar career trajectory to that of Eriksson. No one said that Fast is a shoe-in to become Loui Eriksson.

The entire comparison is stupid. Fast is not going to be the next loui eriksson. Just watch him play. He is a good player at the ahl level right now. He would have to take absolutely major jumps to be a 20 goal nhl scorer.

That some here think that he is easily a 20 goal nhl scorer now is mind boggling.

Do you even understand the concept of "upside?"

Upside isn't a guarantee, it's a projected best-case scenario.

This is like arguing with a wall. I'm done.

Like I said. His upside isn't loui eriksson. Should try to watch him play instead or basing your arguments off career stats

He said that Fast has UPSIDE to become that player. That is his absolute highest ceiling. What is so hard to understand about that?

Plenty. He has in no way loui eriksson upside.

I would actually be shocked if he ever became even a 20 goal scorer.

It's actually a very good comparison. Similar players. I have been saying Loui Eriksson for a couple of years. Slippery, good 2-way player, good around the net, PK, PP.

If you subtract almost all of the offensive ability, and then add in less size and durability then you have a great comparison

Like I said. The hype train is getting out of control. He has 9 goals...

And 7 in his last 7 games.

There's no doubt the injury thing is a question - it may be that the freak accident he suffered two years ago has made him fragile. I very much hope not.

However, there's been a very definite pattern with Fast that the injuries have knocked him out, he's come back and it's taken him a few weeks to get going - and then, once he gets a chance to play in a continuous stretch, he starts to pick it back up and the offense starts to come in bunches.

Again, I worry about the injuries - but not the offense.

From what I've seen his offensive abilities are better than Cally's. So, 20 would not be shocking at all

I haven't watched much of Fast but I love how slipknottin is sure of what a prospect won't become become he plays in the NHL more than a handful of games and is picking fights with anyone that says anything different, even though it seems they watched more of Fast.

Loui Eriksson's career AHL stats:

95 GP - 37 G - 33 A - 70 PTS

He didn't break out in the NHL until his 3rd season. Projecting what Fast will become after 20 games is asinine.

Did anyone think that Zucc would be what he is today even after playing last season? And that's a big sample size. People need to stop being sure what guys aren't.

I did 100%.

I was shocked that he opened the season so poorly, as his previous play as a Ranger suggested that what he is doing now is the type of production he should get when the percentages regressed. Everything sorted itself out after the scratch though.
