seeing that production in the AHL at that age for the 2 swedes is very promising for 2 players that are good in all 3 zones. should be capable of 3rd line minutes for us next year.

Fast's goal was on the PP. The point man shot it, Fast went right to the front of the net and was left alone and used some nice hand eye to swat it a second before the goalie got it.

Lindberg's first was a wraparound a la Matteau. His second Fast stole the puck from the Providence DMan, and used the DMan as an object to get Lindberg the puck that he wristed past the goalie.

Miller was a bull with the puck all night long.

Lindberg has been on fire, seems his name shows up on the score sheet every night. Miller with 18 points in 17 games and Fast with 16 points in 20 games is really great to see. Not to mention the positive feedback the great guys here who watch the Pack are giving all three, it's exciting.

St. Croix with another point. He has 28 points in 28 ECHL games. He is very good at this level, but we need him to move up and solidify himself as a quality producer at the AHL level. He can't crack the Hartford top-6 while Miller and Lindberg are there, but if Miller gets himself a permanent gig in the NHL, MSC should be given the chance to center the second line for the Pack.

how come Kantor has 0 pts? has he been that bad??? i like how he fights though. looked ok in preseason.. i thought he was more of an agitator than a tough guy...

all 3 have a legit shot at making the team next yr. Kristo as well

Which is why they should let some UFA's walk.

Can't wait to see our HF prospect ranking after we graduate Miller, Fast, Lindberg and maybe Kristo, 29?

Maybe I'm being a bit optimistic, if we trade Callahan and don't get a RW back, any chance we take a look at Fast with Richards and Hagelin? I feel like since Fast is billed as a similar player to Hagelin and Hagelin when he was playing well made Richards much better, this could be a good line.

I ABSOLUTELY think Fast comes up and takes Cally's spot. And if he can't hack it for whatever reason (and I don't see why he wouldn't - he was already one of AV's favorites defensively coming out of camp), then you go with Kristo or Miller.

It's one of the reasons I feel so strongly that they should be looking to deal Cally for center prospect(s)/offensive defensemen prospect(s)/draft pick(s).

To temper my enthusiasm I didn't think that Fast was too noticeable offensively, but hey neither is Callahan.

BTW, not saying they're better players but I would think that Miller and Fast would be better for puck possession than Richards and Callahan.

Hah!

To be fair, when he was with the team, NO ONE was very noticeable offensively - kinda hard to pin that on the rookie when everyone is struggling. Furthermore, he's really starting to pick it up in the A. 7-2-9 in his last 7, climbing towards PPG (heck, GPG) status. Combine that with the fact that AV was already using him as a PKer coming out of camp and I don't think he'd have too much trouble slotting in as a 3rd line RW.

You're preaching to the choir. I think you'll also be able to add Lindberg to that list pretty soon.

That won't happen for a while. While Miller will probably graduate at the end of next season, one of Fast or Kristo will not because there is no space for both to play 65 games. Not sure Lindberg plays 65 games either. He can get a short stint in the minors or a brief injury, or a combination of both.

Losing Kreider, Miller and likely Fast will hurt our rankings, but let's see what others do. If The Duke continues to rip the juniors to shreds while The Butcher sticks on the first line in the KHL, those will be great additions.

Guys like Allen can add depth as would Hrivik and Yogan if they picked up their game.

Our rankings won't be at the top of the league, but depending on what our prospects do over the next 15 months, the farm can remain solid.

Especially considering what might come back in a prospective Cally deal.

I'm still "excited" for MSC. I think the guy has a ton of talent. I loathe PAP, but he has shown that weaker skill guys can break into the NHL, even if it may take a while.

Considering how tenacious and defensively responsible guys like Lindberg, Fasth, Kristo and Miller are, I'm fine with MSC going slowly and possibly breaking into a middle six role surrounded by bigger, tougher dudes as he puts on some size himself.
