Miller and Fast has been filthy together on those highlights. Is Hensick playing with them two?

Miller is looking sooooo good. I mean, absolute top potential wise? Nah, maybe not that much. But I mean, Mike Richards is a low potential player. Ryan Kesler is a low potential player. Miller got that potential. And I definitely could see him being great on a 3rd line with guys like Hags and Cally or Fast in the near future.

Lindberg has a great shot, better than I remember seeing.

He has unreal chemistry with Fast too. A future third line of Hagelin-Lindberg-Fast? Drool.

Worth watching for a fantastic pass by Fast to spring Bourque for a breakaway, a pure snipe by Lindberg on the rush and, most of all, Kristo's overall dominant play, including one truly filthy toe-drag move.

Great pass by Fast, Lindberg's goal was sweet, nice lefty shot coming from the right side Messier style. What was better was that steal he had at the blue line to get the puck, beauty.

Kristo looks good, I just wonder how involved he is away from the opponents net. If/when he plays a rounded game he'[[ be seeing some NHL ice.
 
Apparently Lindberg went knee on knee with Lauridson.

Anyone have an update? All I could find was the hit and then Haley fighting Lauridson as a result.
 
are their any young minor league UFA goalies available (age 22-26, that still have chance to make NHL) that might be in an organization with a lot of depth, that might become UFA or traded??


any UFA AHL vets forward and defense (23-27 years old). Wolfpack can use a vet or 2. maybe Hensick comes back???

For goalies I"d be thinking more in terms of the Sudbury (OHL) overager Franky Palazzese or Ferris St. U.'s C.J. Motte.
 
St. Croix with 3 primary assists the the last ECHL game.

He is leading his ECHL team in points per game as well as in overall assists.

I would like to see him get a real chance in the AHL, not just a few minutes with offensively-challenged linemates.

Assuming he shows any improvement, MSC should be a top-6 AHL center next season. Then we'll see where he stands as a prospect. I haven't given up on him yet, he is still just 20 years old and is a dominant offensive player in a good pro league.

Offensive prospects need minutes and PP time. I'm actually glad he went down to the ECHL as opposed to playing 4th line minutes in the AHL.
 
Lindberg and Fast have had off and on chemistry all year. It would be nice if it were to translate to a third line in the NHL, but I am not getting my hopes up.

The good news is, they are at least adjusting to the smaller ice and making an impact. Miller, Fast, and Lindberg all have a fighting chance for a roster spot next year. I'm still not convinced Kristo pans out. I wouldn't mind if they moved him as a sweetner in a bigger deal.

To be honest, I'd have preferred that he not be on the 4th line in the AHL because he's too good for it, not because he's in the ECHL. But either way, the ECHL gives him a way to ease into the pro game. He's still playing (and scoring against) against fully physically developed adults. The gap between the AHL and the ECHL is not huge, it's much less than between the AHL and the NHL.

By the way, notice that MSC and Nicholls are scoring less in the ECHL than the juniors. This is true for almost everyone. When people get excited about someone scoring a point per game in juniors, they really need to temper their expectations because the quality of hockey at that level is on par with the SPHL. Sure, there's far more talent, but that talent is much more raw and the bodies are not yet fully developed.

The ECHL is ultimately superior to any of the junior leagues in the sense that any ECHL team would beat any junior team.

I think it's more likely that Fast will play with Miller on the third line next year. They look good together.

Same for Marcou 20 pts in 35 games leads all Dmen In Greenville .Like to see what he could do

Marcou turns 25 this year and has played in 6 AHL games. What he can do is probably not much. Maybe he can become a decent AHL defenseman, but that's it.

Just needs a chance you never know .Played with Allen at Umass only one year older and had better stats the both years they played together.So you never know and if he became a decent AHL Dman good for Him

Yeah, but Allen is a two-way defenseman who's very responsible in his own zone. Marcou is an offensive guy. He either needs to be able to put up a lot more points or learn to play far better defense. He's kind of a poor man's Mike Vernace, and Vernace is pretty damn poor himself.

MSC is only 20 years old, so if he keeps improving, he has plenty of time to make it. Next year second line in the AHL with 0.5 points per game. The following year 0.75 points per game in the AHL. Then he can see if he can make the NHL and if not, go back to the AHL for a point per game performance at the age of 23. That still gives him a couple of years after that to try to break into the NHL by the age of 25.

Still a long shot, but too much offensive talent to just be forgotten about. Let's see if he can improve the next couple of seasons.
 
Marcou is small as well. 25 is up there for an ECHL guy not sticking in the AHL--size is just another major issue. He's a real long ways from being an NHL player. Small defensemen need to have something special. If Marcou's not good enough for the AHL he's not special.

That's fine, I'm not trashing Marcou as a player. Guys in the ECHL are still better than 99% of people that ever put on a pair of skates. My point, though, is that MSC's development is discussed in terms of NHL potential. I don't think Marcou has a snowball's chance in hell at becoming an NHL player. A good AHL player? Maybe, and as you said, good for him if so.

He has high end offensive skills. If he can get to average away from the puck he's a keeper. Too early to think about moving him IMO
 
I actually think both Fast and Lindberg are well served from playing with NAs. Lindberg on a little more heavy line and Fast on a more speedy line.

I don't know what those who have seen them more in the AHL thinks?
