I am going to disagree on Kristo. He needs to be a on a scoring line, but, like MZA, he could very easily be a scoring complimentary forward on the 3rd line next year. This isn't Torts who wants the 3rd line to only grind. The 3rd line this year is Pouliot-Brassard-MZA. Kristo could slide in very easily on that line.

yeah we have 3 scoring lines and a 4th line that gets defensive zone starts now. i dont watch hartford games and dont know how much of a liability kristo is defensively right now but in todays NHL its not top 6 or bust for a player like him, but rather top 9 or bust.

Sam Noreau only got suspended for two games. I guess coming off the bench to pick a a double-minor for roughing is different than coming of the bench to get a fighting major.

Ends up being the best case scenario. Only lose 2 games of development vs. 10.

LOL! Good ole Rudy Poeshak. Is that the ceiling you see for Noreau? Anyway, those were some bad ass Rangers teams that Poeshak was on. He could throw them. Problem was playing the game.

Glad someone recognized him. Ha.
So hard to compare late 80s early 90s tough guys to now. So much easier to play as a limited defenseman back then. Hope Noreau can make it as a 3rd pair RD down the road. He has non fighting skills, just a matter of if the skating becomes passable like a Carkner/Erskine style. Haven't seen any of his games this season.

I agree. Loved Rudy as a player but to state he was limited is an understatement. I've also heard good things about Sam but most of that was before this season. Haven't seen/heard much about how he's doing.

Pack win 5-2

2 goals and an assist from Kristo. 1 from Lindberg. Assists from Fast and Allen.

Greenville wins 5-4. They chased Riku Helenius early. St. Croix with three helpers.

Bringing in TJ Hensick was a really nice move for Hartford. With Hensick in the fold and Fast back healthy, the team can actually score a few goals.

Getting some decent goaltending helps just as much. Hartford's got some guys now who can create offense at that level and now they don't happen to worry all the time that their goalie is going to put them so far behind the 8 ball by the end of the first period that there's no way they'll climb back into the game.

If Kristo continues, he will have proven he is a dominant players in the AHL.

Playing on a very poor team that can't score he isn't that far off from a ppg.

Eh, we always knew Kristo could score. The question was always whether he can do everything else. It's more important to see whether his play away from the puck has improved.

It was his play with the puck that was poor too. He has a good shot and hands. But his decision making with the puck was the worst part of his game IMO.

Yeah, thats not good.

BTW.....
This month Lindberg has 10 points in 11 games, +4, 32 SOG(tops on the wolfpack), 1 gwg.

He's starting to get the hang of these NA rinks :D

Meanwhile Miller is over a PPG for the season and Fast has been lighting it up recently as well (6-1-7 in his last 6).

Interestingly, Kristo had slowed down a bit before busting out last night.
