NY was his first option when he was in NO. He's on a good team now. So I'm not sure he will do that.

I just don't see the Knicks getting him anymore. Once they signed Chandler, I said at time 'you can kiss Chris Paul goodbye'.

Why not both? We can afford him.

Paul is clearly the best PG in the world.

When it was apparent that Lebron wasn't gonna sign in Cleveland, I thought it was pretty clear he'd go play with Wade.

If Chris Paul says he's gonna host "The Decision 2" then i'll believe he'll come to NY. :laugh:

Paul is a UFA, you don't need to trade pieces, do you? Heat sent a 1st to the Raptors for Bosh, so I guess that's what LA could expect to get from the Knicks.

How don't we have the money. 2nd most valued franchise in the league.

I think it has to do with the salary cap. NBA cap rules are REALLY strange, but I think there's certain rules you have to adhere to once you're over the hard cap.

I don't think it's financially feasible to get CP3, or else I imagine there would be A LOT more speculation about him coming here. I'm not sure, though.
 
Not a good defensive game...but we'll win games where Melo puts up 40 or more often. Speaking of Melo, guy is playing at such a high level.

He is also the most exciting player to watch in the league.

I dont think we can get paul unless we sign and trade but we would probably have to give up shumpert and a 1st round pick or 2

not unless Paul states the only place he wants to go to is NY. This handcuffs the Clippers and this is where you give them an abundance of picks/salary dump.

what salary dumps?STAT?nobody is touching his contract.Novak?they had him once already,they'll pass again,our picks arent going to be good enough to get the best pg in the league.

dont get me wrong,i would love him here,but even if he did handcuff the Clippers,we dont have the pieces they would take back in a trade.they certainly wont just hand him to the Knicks because thats where Paul only wants to go either

You can trade players to other teams too.

Trade Camby elsewhere. Novak too.

Offer the next few yrs draft picks for a sign and trade for Paul so that he gets an extra yr on his contract. Doesn't seem complicated.

Clippers would never do that.they are going to want at least 1 established player and a bunch of 1st round picks,high 1st round picks.

its not complicated,but its highly unrealistic
 
Why do people even think Paul wants to come here? His whole vow to come to New York thing happened before he wound up in LA with an extremely competitive young team.
