Knicks need to start playing defense all 4 quarters. You wouldn't have to have these comebacks if you play defense.

Yep. If it wasn't for 2 great offensive second halves, the Knicks would've been absolutely blown out by subpar teams back to back.

We're back to the days of Tyson and JR (sometimes) being the only ones playing D, and this time we don't have Shump to help on the perimeter. It's ugly.

Tyson Chandler with another off night. This is becoming too frequent. And I'm talking from a defensive end. What he gives on offense is gravy.

This team doesn't look like the team we saw in November. Not just defensively but the lack of ball movement isn't there either.

You can't mail in the first half and expect to win the game.

lol what? Chandler rarely has nights off. He was brilliant the game before.

Nope. His defense has been spotty this year. Not just game to game but within a game. He was a lot more consistent last year. He took it personal last year. I see players go the the basket easy on on him.

Would you call him a DPOY candidate right now?

Tyson has been inconsistent this year, but outside of the first 2 weeks, nobody has played defense well consistently. Him and JR are the best at it.

Woody really needs to get these guys working on the defensive end again.

Also, i'd like to see Camby get Novak and KT's minutes. Give Brewer's minutes to Cope. Don't think Cope can keep up his good play but he's a better option than Brewer.

During practice Wednesday, Woodson had to go over to Stoudemire to instruct him about a bad angle and posture he was taking when trying to stop his man from going baseline. It truly seemed to be the basic fundamentals.

Oh my!

He spent his whole career under No-D Antoni

I thought he was actually doing well last game after finding his groove. Shouldn't have subbed him off

Oh my!

Just reads to me like Amar'e is doing everything, and saying all the right things. Dude's a great player, no problem coming off the bench. Woodson is his coach and loves seeing good hard defense? Amar'e is ready to learn defense.

Lay off the guy, let him get his legs back and get back to game form. There's a reason he was hearing MVP chants in the Garden until 'Melo came to town.

Knicks need a win here. Have to execute on O and D. Sad the Knicks keep finding themselves in spots to prove their legitimacy as they steadily decline but it has to happen.

Ignoring the slump the team's in right now, it's so great to see the Garden go nuts for Stat. After an offseason, and then continued 3 months where almost every article about the dude was negative, i'm glad to see the Garden crowd hasn't forgotten how important he is to the franchise after 2010.

I've had enough of Brewer.

Hurry back Shump.

Yep. Over the offseason I felt Brewer would be an apt defensive replacement for Shump. Boy, did that turn out to be wrong. Thibodeau should just be coach of the year every year because he can make subpar players look like lockdown defenders.

Anyway, gotta come out fresh after halftime. Looking great on D, but offense is lagging.

This Knicks team is nuts when they're firing on all cylinders. Automatic from behind the arc, guys who can penetrate, and crazy defense.
