I'm just gunna leave this here....Carl Pavano ruptured his spleen shoveling snow...

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8878950/report-carl-pavano-falls-shoveling-6-8-weeks

I saw that. Didn't he also almost get killed in a car wreck a few years ago while still on the Yankees? I know I will look like a know it all saying it now but back in 2005 I swear to you I wanted zero part of Pavano for the Yankees. He had one great year his entire career up to that point, heck one good year since he was really mediocre before the 2003 playoffs and had a lot of injury problems as an Expo and was 29 after his one great year with Florida.

Whatever snow shoveling he did is more work than he ever put with the Yankees

Regarding the car accident, he was scheduled to come off the 60 day DL in a week and he told the Yankees he broke ribs in the accident that happened a couple of weeks prior

Yeah it was a pretty typical Steinbrenner signing.

Only reason I even knew who Carl Pavano was prior to that breakout year that he never reproduced was because he gave up home run #70 to McGwire.

Cashman says its a possibility A-Rod may miss the whole year

Part of me is thrilled that I won't have to watch that jackass **** up on a regular basis, but the other half of me is pissed because its yet another year where he gets paid $30m to do jack ****

I didn't realise his injury was that bad. He is fading fast, and the contract has become a complete albatross now.

I'm very much looking forward to this season with A-Rod out of the lineup for much of it

Nelson Cruz and Gio Gonzalez are also linked to the steroids thing down in Miami, MLB can take all the steps it wants, but the game will never be clean I don't think anybody is surprised with this story

The Yankees are exploring multiple avenues to void their contract with Alex Rodriguez, several baseball sources told ESPNNewYork.com's Wallace Matthews and Andrew Marchand. Rodriguez was among several MLB stars who were linked to a PED clinic in Miami, Florida. Even if the charges turn out to be true, however, the Bombers may have little chance of getting out from under his contract.

I don't care how much $$ they might have to eat, just get this clown off the team
