Yeah, Hanzal moved from Kopitar to Shore? Shore? It wasn't Kopitar's night when the other team's coach thinks a 4th line center is a greater threat to score than the 1st line center. I had a bad feeling when I saw Kopitar out there at the start of overtime, but we don't have the center depth to have anyone besides Carter and Kopi out during overtime. They should have started with Carter, Pearson, and Doughty or Marty.

Kudos to the 4th line tonight, that unfortunate goal off Shore notwithstanding.

Yes if you go back to before the OT started, I said, "Carter, Pearson, Doughty, and pray." Had no idea Sutter was going to ask for a miracle though.

To be honest, everything else happening with the roster is meaningless.
 
I mean you can blame wingers ETC from here till sunday, but there is no excuse for Kopitar's stat line the last 10 GP.

The Man is the third highest paid player in the league and the team Captain. FIGURE IT OUT KOPITAR!!!!!!!

Also, I'm not standing anywhere. I'm slovenly slouched on my couch, drinking a beer and watching the 2017 Oscar winner for best picture, Moonlight.

Had bad feeling before the ink was put in the pen he signed with. The percentage of players actually worth a damn after 30 years of age is actually quite small.

Hope Kopitar has a huge bounce back season next year, or the suck is gonna last a long time.

It's always 11-77-8 for OT's unless they're out there for the last shift of regulation. Tonight they looked great right until they dropped the puck to start OT.:laugh:
The 2nd group is either 73-70-27 or 70-23-6. No real need for a center until there's a faceoff, which don't happen that much inn OT.

Kopitar's got two stretches of games where he's had at least 4 games with a point. One with 4 games in a row, and one with 5. In those 9 games, he's got 3 goals and 14 points. In the other 47 games he's played, it's 3 goals, and 21 points.

He gets the C, the huge contract, new family things, some sort of an injury that may or may be lingering. It's one thing to not be worth the cap hit, but nobody could've seen 6 goals.

All you can hope for is that he comes back with a big game tomorrow. Little reason to think he will this season, but you gotta hope.
 
Damn damacles, never seen you this heated before. Kopitar really pissed off everyone tonight, he deserves all the flak he's been getting. Maybe LA Times will publicly call him out like the OC Register did to Getzlaf last year and he'll wake the **** up.
 
Hang in there Kings fans. Kopi can turn it around. He's a world class player. It's not unlike Bergeron and Toews - both of them had a very tough first 3 months of the season but they've both turned it around and are playing like themselves again. Kopi can do that too. Will he? I don't know but have some faith in your captain.

Ive tried to stay positive on Kopitar all year, but tonight just was the straw that broke the camels back.

What makes it worse, I was against signing Kopitar to his 10M cap hit from the get go.

Also a few Martini's helps....

Don't worry Not Helen is a HHOF'ER. She's got it covered.

Maybe the LA Times could trade her for a writer from Philadelphia?

Got home just in time to see the last 2 soft goals Quick gave up, and then watched him fold again in OT. Not a good start to say the least.
