Puck management has been pretty horrendous by all the players

DeAngelo and Smith are easy to pick out and criticize but everyone is trying to pass the puck right through defenders legs for some reason, or making bad decisions with the puck trying to get it to other players, etc.

Harden the eff up and stop playing it loose. Play with some urgency and make purposeful passes not prayers
 
Switch up the pairs for next game:

McDonagh-Smith
Skjei-Shattenkirk
Holden-DeAngelo
Kampfer


Staal to Siberia

And Smith doesn't deserve to be on the first pair, but I'd like to try these pairings

So we can we worried if we start 0-10 then. Didn't Montreal go 17-1 and miss the playoffs?
 
ONE of the worst displays of defense and goaltending I’ve ever seen in my entire life watching this team.

Complete abomination. Henrik Smith Staal DeAngelo skjei the special few but as a whole absolute embarrassment.

AV not pulling hank after 3-1 forfeits any chance of coming back so awful job by him as well. No timeout either.

This is an embarrassment of epic proportions. And hank actually made a few good saves could have been worse. He was horrific though. Totally rattled. Nothing calm about his game.

This season can get away from us quickly with this kind of display

He's supposed to be our 4th best defenseman. A #5 as a #4 is not supposed to look like that.

I'm talking about defensive responsibility, not where they place among ice time. Smith is probably right now the second best defensive player on this defense, maybe Skjei will pass him at some point this season, which we badly need to happen.
 
Jusr brutal puck management all the way around. McDonagh was the only D who looked like he didn't shit his pants that period. Also this team is just so bad on the boards, been this way for 3 seasons now.
 
Honestly, Prime Lundqvist still gets 4 put on him in that 1st, that's how bad they played as a team. An unreal goalie performance and maybe we luck out with only 3 on us.

Pathetic start to the game, still early in the year, no need to freak out.

I guess this is the Smith Red Wings fans hated, finally made his Rangers debut.

Also like zero credit to the Leafs in here. They are going to do this to a lot of teams this year.
