I didn't report it (I have a very high threshold for that kind of thing), but I did briefly consider commenting on it. While it's not something a lot of people know or understand, there are folks who are still relatively young who had half or more of their friends from young adulthood die from AIDS (not me--I'm about 5 years too young, but I know and work with folks who get down at the mere mention of the disease because they watched so many of their friends die from it in the 80s and early 90s). There was clearly no malice in your post, but it's worth stopping and thinking for a minute: Imagine a horrible disease killed half your friends in a horrible manner. Then imagine someone using that disease for a cheesy punchline. I can see why people would be upset. Just food for thought.

Thank you for your input. I agree with that, but at the same time, I can see why people would be upset about a lot of things. That doesn’t mean we should stop people from saying certain things. A comment never gave anyone aids. Words never hurt anyone. I see offensive things all the time, but I just read them and move on. Life goes on.
