Yeah it seems to be a cultural/background thing. I was brought up playing Aussie Rules and rugby, and the onus is always on the hitter to get it right so in most cases someone will let up if there's a chance of catching someone high. North American sports seem to have a different focus and you tend to have a lot more head high contact as a result....
Size of the ice has a lot to do with it.
Even if it's not that much smaller, you get caught r l quick if you don't pay attention.

Hutton has been very good

Kreider has been the least physical player on his line and that's something that should basically never happen

Haha only a Staal pass could make me write something like that. I was pissed.

I didn't report it (I have a very high threshold for that kind of thing), but I did briefly consider commenting on it. While it's not something a lot of people know or understand, there are folks who are still relatively young who had half or more of their friends from young adulthood die from AIDS (not me--I'm about 5 years too young, but I know and work with folks who get down at the mere mention of the disease because they watched so many of their friends die from it in the 80s and early 90s). There was clearly no malice in your post, but it's worth stopping and thinking for a minute: Imagine a horrible disease killed half your friends in a horrible manner. Then imagine someone using that disease for a cheesy punchline. I can see why people would be upset. Just food for thought.

Hayes might be in the doghouse. Howden moved up to his line

I'm going to bed after this period ends.

Enjoy the Rangers breaking out for 5 goals in the third everybody.
You do realize that if that happens, we'll be sending you to bed at every game start for the rest of the season :D

Sleep well :)

That was a pretty crappy period. The 3-on-0 summed it up nicely.

Skjei is playing very good D, the other 5 are just sort of 'there'
