Also we did a really good job with Pettersson. He made a few plays but that’s gonna happen, overall though he didn’t control the game.
Yes. He is worse than Zibanejad, will be more expensive and we have 3 center prospects that are looking like they will be good players for a long time. Also, we're not winning the Stanley Cup anytime soon.Is signing Hayes longterm a bad thing? Zucc is gone.
lol it wasn't really a serious comment, more of a jab at Joe.
But yeah, that game was not ok.
All summer I was crucified for saying tanking was gonna suck. Now I'm crucified for being the only one upset about a bad win. What are we doing here? A little consistency would be great,.

I kinda get what Machinehead is saying though.
A lot of people kind of says it tongue and cheek now, but you can almost sense the posts about signing Zucc and Hayes coming, or about making a trade of someone comes on the market.
So I “get” where he’s coming from.
Your stance would be better if you didn't also complain when we had bad wins when we were not rebuilding. You can't fool us.![]()
I’m just here for the rant.
Wins. Top picks. Trades. 24 and over. Hayes. Zuccarello.
Give me fuel give me fire give me that which I desireChytil stamina is kinda remarkable...he's got a motor to him.
I imagine people are less bothered by the actual point and more by how it's broadcasted.I kinda get what Machinehead is saying though.

I think this team will fall to earth.
I think the rookies will have ups and downs, and this team is finding ways to win right now. But I don’t necessarily see an approach or a depth of talent that makes me think it’s sustainable.
Having said that, the growth of the kids is essential. They have to grow and they have to become NHL players. And they are.
No, I hated it then too.
Teams that consistently find a way to steal bad games don't win anything in this league.
Whole team rolled in 3rdHad to miss the 3rd, who played good/bad?
I think Quinn has this team working it's ass off and coming back hard to defend. I think it's a huge work in progress but I also think he's got them on the right path. No, I don't expect them to make the playoffs and certainly not to be buyers at the deadline.
It's just very grating at this point. For years and years now this team has been rewarded in the standings for bad hockey. I suppose the common denominator is the generational talent in the crease.
And again, everyone is happy with a win and nobody wants to talk about it, I understand that. I'm in the minority in that regard, I understand that too.
But it's unhealthy that they win games they shouldn't. It's so much more than losing for a pick. It's unhealthy in terms of management's outlook, although I hope you're right in that management just keeps going right along with the plan. It's also unhealthy in terms of our culture. I don't want our young players to learn that this is what it takes to win anything of significance in this league. The funny thing is, people will spin it the exact opposite way. They fought hard. They found a way.
I don't want our next core of players finding a way. I want them kicking teams' teeth in.
Worst tank ever

It absolutely does NOT feel like Henrik is stealing us games we don't deserve to win. It feels like there's a lot of 50 50 games and we happen to be miracleing ourselves to victory. To me that's a key distinction between what I saw the past few years and what I'm seeing now.
All while we're icing 5..6? rookies and DeAngelo whose basically a rookie himself.
That's impressive.
I really don't want to see Hayes go. He is solid. I know there's a potential glut at center.
