We've seen this movie before with this team winning games they have no business winning.

It's fun winning and nobody wants to dissect it, I get that. Nobody wanted this team to win over the summer more than I did, everyone forgets that.

But if they're going to steal games, they might as well lose. If Vancouver didn't hit every post in the tri-state area, they're down 4-1 in this game.

I find the players to be extremely likable.

Lately, however, the results are trending towards another early playoff exit. What does that do for this franchise?

If you can't play well enough to win games when it matters, just lose.

But as I predicted, people get a taste of that two points and all the long-term plans are out the window.
these two things don't have to be mutually exclusive….

Like I said, I was crucified for being against the tank in the summer and now I'm crucified for not being ****s and giggles that we won. Which is it? Just give me some consistency and I'll do my best.

It's just entertainment - at least for me. If we were 0-18 right now, but the kids were improving and we were mostly losing games by 1 goal and the team was playing hard, I'd be fine. If we're winning too much to have a chance at Hughes/Kakko et al and the kids are improving and the team is playing hard, I'm fine too. The only time I'm not happy with the team is when they're clearly phoning it in. If they're playing hard, the wins and losses don't matter that much, because it's still entertaining to watch, which for me, is the entire point.

I still think Howden is going to be more than a third line center.
I think that is becoming quite clear. The way he plays at both ends of the ice. Kid has been on a roll the entire season.

They're not making the playoffs. I can't believe many people believe we are.

I'm enjoying the ride, but no, I don't expect this to last. I had them pegged as a bottom 7 team...and I still stand by it. Tough part of the schedule is still in front of us, and we've been healthy.

I don't think they are bottom 3 bad..but I also don't think this is a playoff team, and I'd be floored if they weren't sellers at the deadline regardless.

Whatever Quinn is doing, he gets a lot of effort out of his players.

Rangers with 20 pts. and 2nd place in division with the same amount as CBJ. :)

You know this team is capable of playing much better of course, but with all the growing pains and all the new young guys that really is not bad at all. I said this is another thread, this team is not bad enough to tank for 1st overall. So might as well just try to win, and hopefully these young guys can learn and grow from a winning mentality and not a losing one.

Agreed. He makes adjustments when he feels it’s justified.

Today was a perfect example. Spooner was up on L1, and we finished with Chytil at L1.

I’m not sure about favorite ever, but those dreamy eyes can’t be ignored.
I've abhorred every rangers coach in my lifetime except torts...that includes Keenan.

Tom renney is probably my next favorite coach after torts...and I hated his guts.

Imo this team might get better when they finally do move Hayes and Zucc. Give these kids more mins.

Chytil looks like he could skate the Mississippi River. Just leave him out there for 20 a night every night. Don’t care where just play the kid hes clearly better with more ice.
