I love how some people talk about Georgiev bailing this team out in the 3rd, or how Lundqvist steals games, that we aren't deserving, etc,

But goaltending is part of the team and we have always had a great TANDEM. Lundqvist-Talbot, Lundqvist-Raanta, now Lundqvist-Georgiev. We always seem to have good goaltending, period, and that's a big part of the team.
We always have a good tandem because we always have Hank the GOAT.

Names is a good two-way player who was misused by av and at first by Quinn. Its hard to go from Stamkos and Kucherov to a 4th liner on a rebuilding team and not see a drop in play. But since hes back on a top line he has looked really good
Totally different player, indeed. I don’t necessarily blame the coach(es) but that last benching really lit a fire under his rear. He has been very strong lately.

Second worst team in the league in terms of ROWs. That will catch up eventually. We’re that bad. We are. Don’t mistake it for something it isn’t.
It’s not “we”. It’s a pro sports team. It’s entertainment. I suggest taking it less personally. There are a ton of teams trying to win the Cup. “We” probably won’t win in a while just based on the odds. How about enjoying the product now? Might be more fun. And this is a legitimately fun team to watch.

Yeah, for sure. It's why WE play Powerball and Mega Millions when the jackpot gets big. Everybody wants a shot. Just that it doesn't work that way for those guys in the locker room who'll say they won this game at the end of day, no matter how ugly it was.

A long time ago, I used to go into the border of the hood for “loosies” [loose cigarettes] when the price for a pack got too high.

One summer night, a clearly inebriated and destitute resident of that area was sitting outside the convenience store with her last $100 in scratch off.

She scratched them all off one by one, yet won nothing.

She then looked up and said, “At least I tried!”

God bless her

Really question the Spooner shootout selection. Not a big deal tho, just a shootout and Zucc is returning. Still, for a coach that preaches hard against "hero" passes/plays, that felt a tiny bit hypocritical. Otherwise great game I don't know how people here can say we got the win by getting lucky.

Must be good in practice on them is all I can figure. I really thought he might have used Chytil in this one.

The other good thing is you know Torts had to have been screaming at his team when it was all over.

Don't know what he said to the team in private, but I was going to comment before that he was very calm talking to the media post game when I was watching the Columbus feed. He told a reporter that he wouldn't play certain forwards on the same line because they "don't check." Wish I had heard who because I was just curious who they were talking about.

Great story. Should be on MSG 150, narrated by GOAT Bill Pidto.

I will say the same I said about Namestnicov at the start of the year about Spooner. He is a much better player than he is showing right now and I expect him to get better. I am wondering though if the injury is more than was let on? He seems to be avoiding contact a bit, last year he was driving to the net but something is holding him back.
