People blame Malkin and crosby for our bad pp, but with them out it looks exactly the same… whoever is in charge of that shouldn’t be…..

The PP has like never been bad with 87 and 71. People just expect them to score Everytime.

This PP is PROOF of what I've been saying all year about the 'brilliance' of Rierden as a PP coach. His entire PP for years has been predicated on Sid or Geno making a 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 play to create an opening for a great scoring chance.

I keep saying the good PP coaches approach things like chess . . . their PP is designed to use pieces to attack in combination.

Or, if you prefer, look at a guy like EJ who described how he used to coach it in terms of movement on the basketball court.

But, the Pens PP . . . one guy moves, and everyone else just watches. One guy shoots, and nobody crashes to coincide with the shot coming . . . instead they just wait to see if a rebound comes.

And, support designed to create isolated 2 on 1's in high danger areas for the PK? ******** forget that shit.

Only morons say that. We were 4th in the league last year. Crosby was 10th among all Forwards in PPP's.

Think I would put Carter on the left wall for starters. Maybe give Zucker a shot on the right wall too.
It can't be any worse than it is now.

he ain't we already established that, but what the hell happened to Rust,

Rust doesn't do much on a PP aside from being the trigger man with his quick release in the slot. So no Geno or Sid to use him correctly, he's pretty much useless.

The Pens' PP moves around like when I'm playing bubble hockey and I can only focus on moving the player who currently has the puck. Everyone else just stands in their designated spot until the puck comes to them.
