miller had one good game against the isles. He was brutal in boston. I have no probelm with boyle coming back tonight since he wnats to prove himself BUT miller should have been benched

That way we hurt 2 positions. 3rd line center and 3rd line LW. Brilliant.

Maybe Torts wants to see JT at wing before deciding on what to do with him. But, you are right. That would appear to be the result of this decision. As always we will see. It's not like the points are important or anything. Win three in a row and then shuffle the lineup. Seems like a good idea:sarcasm:

first of all he was not brutal in Boston. What is that about? Was he a minus 3 and on the ice for all Bruin Goals? Did he take a few bad penalties? Did he blow several easy scoring chances? What exactly made him brutal?

I like the idea that the 4th line has been left alone. Powe has been a real solid under-the-radar addition to this team. Hard-working, no nonsense player.

I agree why in the world do break up a winning line up.. I also predicted the islanders fall behind and the game will get very chippy and we will be in big trouble. I don't want to see Giraldi and McD. Fighting

Girardi fight? Nash, Richards, and Henrik could all be getting pummeled and Girardi would stand there and watch.

He was fine in every game against Boston. 10 year vets have problems against Boston. A 19 year old playing poorly against Boston is not a crime. We may not see Boston again this season, definitely not in the regular season.

Our third line has been very good so he should have left it alone

leave what alone? the lines? are you kidding?! The team will develop chemistry and play consistently when you keep lines together with player in their right position!

Why would we want to do that? you mean you don't agree with this coaches' opinion that "lines" are non existent and that players should be interchangeable and develop instant chemistry all around the lineup?

I love the argument that winning 3 games means you don't have to evaluate the lineup.

There's no reason to make a change. The 3rd line has been effective. You constantly evaluate. Again I think this has more to do with Miller than anything else. I just hope we play well. Otherwise you will have to second guess Torts upsetting the apple cart.

Yes, so now we have a solid 4th line and a suspect 3rd line which will get more ice time. I like it too.

Well, Brian was also a first round draft pick whose BC career was much better than Kreider's.

That said, I get the point.

His BC career was much better? Really? You want to do a little research before I embarrass you?

I don't know much about NCAA hockey but it appears that Boyle outscored Kreider and put up some impressive seasons there.

Edit: He also seems to have been awarded with some type of tournament MVP.

I think you should just try to embarrass him....

Not saying Boyle was a better player than Kreider in college, because to be honest i only saw a few games when each player was there.

But the stats would argue boyle actually had a better college career.

I've seen many college players in all sports who had tremendous college careers numbers wise and dint do much in the pros. Just because Boyle put up numberts doesnt mean he is better than CK. I mean kreider has a high ceiling and once he puts it together(and he will) we should have another big scorer

Everyone knows Kreider's potential easily trumps boyle.

but to act like kreider has been very good since coming back from his injury isn't true. again, personally, i wouldn't have benched him, but i also don't watch him practice or see him at ice level
