Maybe the rangers don't want him to be just OK.

My point was, they know how to develop players and that sending someone down or benching them doesn't make it a mistake just because a lot of us disagree with it.

And for what it's worth, i actually think boyle should be in for asham and that kreider should be playing.

You mean the part where you reference the other teams that held leads in the third period and how brian boyle doesn't play for them? Yet another hypothetical as those teams are built in specific ways and the rangers are built another.

1) I'd rather have an OK player who would have 4 points in the last 4 games if his teammates weren't idiots and someone that has potential to be better than OK than a guy that's just mediocre and has no chance to be anything better.

2) Once again, don't remember how Callahan was playing but it wasn't rocket science to bench DZ, they weren't being some genius organization by it.

3) So why are you so strongly arguing? I wouldn't be all that upset if he replaced Asham either.

He is playing with nash so it helps bigtime for anybody. if callahan/kreider played with nash they would have even more goals IMO

Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. The 00-01 Devils led the league in goals and were pretty fun to watch. Torts wants to win every game 2-1 while being in our zone for 90% of it.
