Not a troll at all. What about tht isn't true? He has less than adequate hockey sense, and there really isn't much arguing that.

The guy looks like McCabe 2.0. He can hit, he can shoot, and he can skate, but there isn't a heck of a lot going on between the ears.

Here's another scout not named Button on Dumba:

We already know Button likes him, that's 3 and counting that disagree with you.

"Dumba is going to be very successful," says Mark Seidel, current head scout of North American Central Scouting. "He has all the physical tools to be a star. For me, it is the intangibles that I love about him. I honestly think 'future captain' monikers are thrown round way too liberally in this business with kids. But Dumba will be a captain. He is a leader who gets it, works his bag off, does the dirty work on and off the ice and is generally, a special kid. Those kinds of traits alone make guys first rounders. Then you mix in his on-ice skills and he is a stud. Needless to say, I think he is a cornerstone Defenceman for years to come."

Brodin > Dumba.

Much better overall game.

That's how I see it. He isn't going anywhere, though. He should be a stud in Minny for a lot of years.

Changing gears, would people be adverse to something like....

MacArthur + Scrivens
For
Bernier + 2nd ?

It opens up a spot on the roster for a guy like Kadri, and adds a goalie with good potential. I'm not saying Bernier is a starting goaltender, as he's yet to prove himself behind Quick, but I think he's a definite upgrade on Scrivens, and provides solid competition for Reimer between the pipes.

It would also add a pick that could be used to move up in the draft, whether it be added to our 1st to move up, or coupled with our own 2nd, to move back into the first to grab a solid talent that slides down the board a bit.

No but their AHL team is

Or are you misunderstanding people's posts on purpose.

Assuming that people were talking about Lehner's performances in the AHL (they were NOT), Binghamton finished 12th in the league, 7th in their conference when they won the Calder Cup in 2010-11.

They finished LAST in the league last year.

Not exactly the best team in the league.

A little research would have saved some poor egg from landing on your face.

And don't try your "I meant..." trick again.

We can only read what you wrote, not your mind. ;)

i dont see it... Texas Stars are a horrible team with THE WORST D in the AHL...

Campbell is obviously being sheltered and not fed to the wolves.

His potential exceeds Lehner's by a mile.

If he is so good why trade for Bishop?

Have you noticed who is #1 in Binghamton this year?

And Burke intended to lose on purpose? Hard to understand why some people want this team to lose, when the team and management are saying they want to win and make the playoffs. A bit contrary if you ask me and futile.

You haven't heard about the "realist" tribe, a subset of Leafs fandom?

I would welcome a deal like that. Although I'd rather have a prospect over a 2nd. Maybe a kid like Vey who is only a year or two away from contending for an NHL spot.

In terms of their prospects, I really like Loktionov. I would like to add him for our center depth.

Let's keep the flame-ish comments down to a zero please. We can have legitimate discussions without belittling fellow posters. Thanks guys.

It's the same lottery, except that if you win it, you get the #1 pick rather than simply advance a maximum of 4 spots.

A secondary effect is that the odds for the 30th-place team have gone from 48.1% to 25%.

Possibly less incentive for teams to tank.

*cough* Edmonton *cough*

How many years left on his contract?

I'd send back Komi the other way if we're trading .. Get the Rags to add like a 3rd rounder or something for taking on the extra salary/term

Redden would sure as hell be more useful than Komi currently is

Keep up with the news...

He would sign a new contract with the Leafs...

Exactly what I was gonna post. He's a guy with some pretty good potential who's been buried on the depth chart behind more established players, much like Bernier.

Watch the Oilers finish 9th in the West and win the lottery.

I think getting a guy like Loktionov, with his skill-set and potential, is a great piece. If he develops well, he could make a guy like Grabovski expendable in a few years.

I'd prefer: Macarthur, Gunner, Scrivens
For:
Bernier, Clifford

The only issue I have with this, is that we cannot afford to get rid of Gunnar right now, as he serves as the steadying presence on the blueline with Dion.

He's a versatile defenseman, although not spectacular, he gets the job done. Until we have someone who can step into his role effectively, I can't see a reason to trade him.

I also dont understand why everyone is tossing Carl Gunnarsson into trade proposals.

Dion feels very comfortable with Carl as his defensive partner, and feels he can take the necessary risks that make him an impact player with Carl there.

He's very underrated in all aspects and has quietly and consistently put up good seasons in Toronto. He's got a great cap hit this season, and is an RFA at the end of the season so they can work with him to control the outcome of that contract situation.

Depending on what his salary demands are, he could be a very useful player for the Leafs now and 5 years from now.

Bernier is a good option for us.

I remember that world championships when Reimer and him shared the net successfully.

TOR: Bernier
LA: DAmigo + 2nd
