Moore is a great 3rd/4th line C. He played great when he was on the Leafs. However I could see Moore sitting out the shortened season considering his wives recent passing.

He got traded because he was asking for too much money on his next contract IIRC .. So Burke(?) traded him for a second rounder, no?

Question: IF we were to consider trading Gardiner, Edm the logical partner to play alongside Shultz. What is he worth to Edm? I'm just curious maybe should ask oilers fans but what you expect in return ? Could we package Kuli+ and land one of the big boys? Hall, rnh, yak, eberle

Preds boards have been throwing around the idea of Wilson+Watson+1st for Kessel if you all decide to go full-rebuild. Thoughts?

I don't know why we'd consider trading Gardiner over Phaneuf to be honest. The fact is we don't really know how good Gardiner will be in 2-3 years, and Edmonton needs a Phaneuf way, WAY more than they need a Gardiner.
In saying that, it's fairly clear that Hall is untouchable. The best player we can pull out of Edmonton right now is MPS in my opinion, and they'd need to add at least their 1st and another prospect to get Phaneuf.
Not saying I'd condone a Kessel trade, but if he were to be traded I:d want a high potential Centre coming back.

JML would be difficult to move as he's our catalyst for the powerplay tbh.
As far as the others, I freaking love watson but i dont think we'd go for it even with a rebuild for wilson. Kessel is some young and had to part with.

Why on earth would people want to move a player that finished 6th in scoring last year and he's only 25!!!!! ?
Throw out logic. Let's just keep making holes in one spot to get minimally better in another.
If O'Reilly is available, I hope/expect the Leafs to be in on him. He had a career year with an abysmal sh% and being used almost exclusively in defensive situations. The guy is a stud, and would be the perfect compliment to Kessel.

I'd love to acquire ROR, especially because he is the only semi-famous person to come from my high school.

Same, I'd just be scared about how much offensive upside the guy has and whether or not last season was so successful because of a contract year or fluke.

Again, I think that we should be retaining Gardiner and sending Gunnar and Phaneuf. Colorado has more than enough cap space to facilitate taking Phaneuf's contract.
