Don't get me wrong, would much rather a center or goalie, but making a move doesn't mean you cannot make any more moves. In no universe does Ryan being on our team hurt the Leafs.

Hey I would love to have a guy like Ryan but dont we need to see players that fit Carlyles system? I think we need to see a big centre in order for any improvement with a solid goaltender. I love Reimer, but he has been off for a year now with no real game minutes. I dont know whats gonna happen but I do know that that there has to be some movement and it has to happen sooner than later. Burke has done some positive things for this club but on the same note he hasnt improved the club where its needed the most. Only time will tell.
TBH the common Toronto fan will LOVE LOVE LOVE Bobby Ryan's game!!!
He is that typical hard working player with elite skill that Toronto fans LOVE!!!

From the Ducks standpoint letting their big 3 go is not all bad THIS year IMHO.
Lets say internally they decide it's time to move on and they put all 3 on the market. At the least they are going to get for each is a top prospect and a 1st.
That would give them 4 picks in the first round this year
3 TOP PROSPECTS potential = to Rielly
Moving forward with the 4 picks, 3 elite prospects, Fowler, Linholm, Etem, Rakell and Gibson.
I'd say thats a pretty darn good looking future considering this draft is hyped to be the best since 03' and the top prospects they would easily get in return.
Also this new CBA favors teams with their RFA's so they will be able to keep that young core for a long time.

Even if we gave up rielly kadri frattin a 2nd and a 1st for Bobby Lou and Ryan I think most fans would be happy and the leafs would have a better chance of Landing other fa's as they would be a desirable location
Done done done and done. I'm tired of being the laughing stock of the league. Those are some legit players that we are acquiring.
