It'd be tough to see Frattin go, really like his game .. But you have to give to get, and if that would clear up the lines a bit:
Lupul - Connolly - Kessel
JVR - Grabovski - Kadri
Kulemin - McClement - MacArthur
Komorav - Steckel - Brown
With Lombardi as the 13th forward, he can slide in anywhere in case of injury .. Not bad

gonna be moved to trade rumours thread but id love to acquire Bobby Ryan for a 1st and a top prospect, unless that prospect is Rielly. Basically any other prospect can be moved (Gardiner not being considered one)

Who exactly is reporting this? I doubt Morgan Rielly and a number pick would be enough for Anaheim to make that move.
Lombardi also should be worth a 3rd round pick at the draft, Also I do not think Komi get's bought out, I think he gets traded to a team trying to hit the cap floor next year.

If he was all Anahiem wanted, and there was no way around it, then I would do it. But a 1st + Rielly is overpayment.

Maybe last year it would have made sense but with JVR and the depth on the wings as a whole, this deal makes NO SENSE AT ALL.
We don't need Ryan, as good as he is. If there's one thing we have going for us is the depth on the wings.
I think you can classify this as more of opinionated rumor more than one based on reports or actual sources/rumors.

a 3rd at the draft? His contract is up at the end of the season... If anything MAYBE a 3rd at the trade deadline at MOST!

The one position of strength the Leafs *might* actually have is on the wing.
Kessel, Lupul, JVR are guaranteed 3 of the 4 spots for top 6 wingers.
Then there's Kulemin, MacArthur and Kadri/Frattin.
Goaltending is a problem. Center is a problem. Defense may even be a bit of a problem (for now). Wing? Not really.

Of course we'll flip. What the hell do we another winger for if we're going to be paying top dollar. We have holes at # 1C, #1 G, and #2 D yet we should be flipping potential lottery picks and top prospects for another friggin' winger. SMH
Although riellys ceiling is extremely high, the leafs have an abundance of defensemen and I think a 1st and rielly would be fair value for Ryan

If we got both Ryan and Luongo somehow, I wouldn't have any problem with Burke giving up this year's 1st.
