He should be pissed at himself for not making in game adjustments
I'm sure he didn't tell them to keep playing the same way.He switched players and lines around...nothing worked. At what point do we stop blaming him and start blaming the players?

Fast: career high in points in 30. On pace for 48 points, but he's shooting 27%. If that reverts back to his career percentage, thats 38 points.

Grabner: On pace for 45 points, but he's shooting 22%. If he shoots his career percentage this season, he'll score about 28 points.

Desharnais: On pace for 40 points, shooting below his career percentage. Also playing lower minutes than the other two.

You do realize that when 6 of your goals are on shots that players have a 100% shooting percentage on your shooting percentage will be high right? And sure he'll slow down on those goals but it's not like it's a fluke that he gets him, he's the type of player that gets a lot of empty net goals.

And there is more to a game than points when it comes to Fast.

He wasn't that good tonight.

One of only two in the positive for corsi, assist on the tying goal. A number of complimented his play today. He was pretty good, I think you are wrong here.

I don't claim he's good when he doesn't play well, I shut my mouth then, but I thought he was very clearly good today.

Mika Mika we kinda need you. Get well soon please. Kreider and Buch can't carry DD every night

Oh well we meet a hungry team on Wednesday - Ottawa fan base is on fire sale so it seems.

"You may select up to 3 Pavelecs".

Nash and Zuccs as Hon. Mentions.

Kreider stunk so bad tonight. I was cursing him.

I'm not gonna blame Buch to much playing with a basic non existent center in DD. In Ot he looked good on the shift he had. Won an important board battle also almost set up winning goal to mcdonagh i believe.

You are free to think whatever.I didn't see much from him tonight,Corsi positive or not. They all stunk just about.

So that would be two teams in a row that are super eager to not lose. Dallas tonight, and Ottawa on Wednesday.
Thats a good point. two very desperate teams. If you don't match that desperation or at least come close you will get embarrassed

I didn't say he's a better player than either, I said he's better on the third line. He brings more offense. I think its close between all three of them as NHL players, but they fit best in different spots in the lineup. I don't like Grabner in the top 9, I don't like Fast in the top 9, I think they slow down the skilled guys. Desharnais is not as skilled as most of our skill guys, but he can kind of keep up on a 3rd line with our 7th and 8th forwards, given he's more skilled than those other two.

Not for nothing, maybe it's just me, but I thought one of the reasons the game was so one sided was the officiating. How can Dallas play so aggressively and not be called for something? I'm not saying the Rangers played anything close to well, but who knows what might have been if Dallas was called for some of the hooking and interference.

He's tired having to win every puck battle on that line. No offense to Buch. Much offense to DD

Hopefully Mika is back in 48 hours, but I doubt Rangers will take any risk with his concussion.

Yeah, Lehtonen tipped it away, otherwise McDonagh would've had a tap in.

In regard to the standings

-1 with the Islanders
+1 vs the Pens (which lost)
+1 vs the Capitals (losing to Isles)

Not as bad as it could've been.

So I'll take this result because 1 point is better than 0 but does anyone else think that this was a worse performance than 5-0 loss where the shots are like 35-30 and the other team just finishes better and the goalie doesn't play the game of his career? I legit think that this was possibly the worst game we've played in years despite the flattering point.

I watched Kreider stand there while Lindell (whatever his name is) skated leisurely by him and took a super dangerous unimpeded shot from the middle slot. It just pissed me off. Kreider wasn't the only one. Recall Valliquette remarking at just how much space he saw for the Stars from his high vantage point.
It was a dud of a game, but that episode with Kreider was a flash point for me.
It's that same old thing with Kreider. What he could be versus what he is.

Pavelec was great. Team historically always has these types of games in December. NYC during the holidays brings out the worst in them.

Glad they got a point ,sort of makes up for that Panthers disaster a few weeks ago.

Kreider had a coaster game tonight.

DeHarnais in the shootout....nope.

To the next episode so just chiiiiillll.
