We went to visit my brothers in Florida a few months ago. Went to Clearwater and St Pete's Beach. Both were pretty much wall to wall people. Reminded me of my post high school days going to Wildwood with my friends. Everything has its time and place, but this is so much more my speed these days.

My parents finally got so fed up with the bullshit that they started renting out their house on the island for the summer 5 years ago. They live in a campground for 3 months a year and absolutely love it . My perks took a huge hit, and I'm not even mad about it.

Yep. We go pretty far south of the more populated areas to a town called Waves. There's not even a grocery store there, just a dollar general and the Waves market. Combined with the week we go the whole area is probably less than half capacity.

That's where I go as well. I like Waves/Rodanthe/Salvo/Avon. The Waves market/deli has some decent sandwiches.

I used to go in september all the time, but now my oldest just started kindergarten, so it's school time.
