Don’t you work for the gubment?

That’s, well I don’t know if I have words for that. Wow. Wow.

Kinda.

So the thing with the F-35 is that radar doesn't see it, which you know. And usually (and most importantly), fighters often don't have transponders running. So they probably have a good idea of the general area where it is, but they'd have no precise idea. If it's a swamp then the only hope could be that you can notice an oil slick from above.

This is actually a situation I've wondered about. Swamp or lake loss of a stealth plane. How the hell do you find it? You're not gonna have the radar data narrowing it down precisely.

It's landed itself somewhere?
Not quite. It flew “somewhere”
I’m fairly certain autopilot doesn’t cover landing.
It’s just extremely odd they specify several times that there was no crash nor a landing but the pilot ejected safely.

If it was airborne. It’s not anymore and it’s not in one piece.
If it wasn’t, and the dude ejected. It’s on a tarmac and everyone’s laughing at him while they spin a story to justify the cost of making the jet whole.

Autopilot doesn't do landing. Depending on the system it can hold course, or follow a plotted course for you. But likely the thing just kept going until the gas ran out. Then it became a lawn dart.
But they emphasize no crash. The pilot has to have a stupid error; on the tarmac; and was a relative of someone important. I’m sticking with this. The plane is where it’s supposed to be, until I see a debris field I don’t think my kind can be changed.

I wonder if that's the end of his career as a fighter pilot. What the hell was the thought process?
I’d he was in flight, “live”?
But my stance has been more than stated.

They say there is no evidence that it crashed. That just means they haven't found it crashed.

The f-35B is the vertical take-off variant (like a Harrier jet), are they sure the fighter wasn't landed and being stolen?

These things happen. Remember....

Sometimes I want to beat people with a 2 X 4

Last week, Mrs. Parent helped our local dog groomer wash a dog found on the street after the previous owner didn't want him anymore and just pushed him out the front door. The groomer is in contact with prospective adopters. My saintly wife said he was the sweetest dog but shook the whole time she washed and dried him.

Hot Take: Ceo's are making to much money and raising the cost of products/goods to compensate.
Take not hot.

So the transponder is 'switched off' the pilot ejects for no reason with the plane continuing on 'auto-pilot', it was flying in a TWO-PLANE formation with ANOTHER F-35.

and somehow it's "lost"?
