I was also surprised the MSG crowd got on Nash so quickly tonight...

Fans are tough. And there are 7.8M reasons to be tough on him. But I didn't hear the crowd tough on him. Maybe I missed it.

I thought he looked solid first game back.

Absolutely disgusting the Rangers allow 5 chances in this game maybe, Lundqvist gives up 2 goals. Our goalie has now lost us 2 games and won us 0. Every game he's won the Rangers outplayed the other team badly. Oh, I forgot the Ducks game when he gave up a soft goal in a 2 goal game. Yes he got 4 goals of support in those 3 games. But you know what? We're still a defensive team. A team like that should be able to win with the best goalie in the game. We didn't score much but we didn't give up much. The Devils game we were a bit looser than the other 2, but still 2 of the goals were flukes and 1 goal was ridiculous. The flukes were obviously not his fault but my point is the Devils didn't get that many great chances. That's 3 games he should have gotten us 1 point in at least. I will give him credit for being amazing against the Kings but losing through no fault of his own. So 1-3, games he should have won us and games he lost us.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, maybe he didn't think at all about it.
Dorsett has been okay, he has filled his role and he cares. I'll take a Dorsett any day, and welcome any warts he brings.
I don't like hockey that is too sanitized anyways.

I don't like that either...he is my favorite type of player but man he can really take obvious useless penalties.

i thought nash was the best player on his line which is scary considering he has been out all season mostly. Callay and richards have been MIA the past couple games

eh, I actually thought the game was pretty enjoyable to watch and well played. Team kind of fell apart there in the third, but I think that's a game situation that for this current group is still a work in progress. Nash isn't fully healthy, but it's looking like they've got a few too many playmakers and not enough finishers. Between Stepan, Richards, Zucc, Cally, and Brass and with muckers on the bottom lines, there's just not enough people who are a threat to pull the trigger. If the Rangers add top 6 talent this year, I'll bet they go for a shooter, hopefully one with a quick and nasty shot and not afraid to use it.

Also I really don't understand the Kreider hate. Yeah he couldn't finish tonight, but he continues to be a force, particularly physically, pretty much every time he's on the ice. Watching Kreider starting to own his size and strength is actually making me a little sad because I'm starting to doubt we'll ever really see Nash fully utilize his. If Nash could just play a little meaner and more aggressive, I think it would actually help him protect himself a bit more. Instead of getting surprised by late hits or cheap shots, he could potentially be looking for them a bit more... who knows.

I'm wondering why guys always seem to go after Stepan. Is it that he doesn't talk back? Or is it the opposite and talks a lot of ****? Again, who knows? but I wonder...

He "stole" the game against LA just two days ago. An absolutely unbelievable performance, but the team in front of him scored 0.

He stole a game they lost? Nah. there's a difference between playing well and stealing a game. Coaches always talk about key saves at key times. This has been the knock on Hank for his career. Some would say he wasn't any good in the playoffs; that although he is great at saving pucks; he is a loser because he doesn't come up big in big spots. I have never believed that but there is a difference between playing great in a game where your team wins vs. when they lose.

with cam in net against LA the score wouldve been more depressing

hush already. Team cant score goals. You win hockey by scoring goals and we didnt do that tonight. Forget the other games they are history. You flipped out tonight so talk about that. Talk about all the chances we missed and could have been ahead in the game, you have no idea what youre talking about. Blaming Hank for this is just ridiculous. Maybe you shouldnt watch hockey for a while because it seems like it bothers you too much. Hank can be better but TONIGHT he gave up 2 goals, if a team cant score they cant win, case closed.

rask out played hank.. seems like every goalie does... rather just go with Talbot against dal... Nash looked good.. CK needs to burry for *** sake.. I don't like mdz but I want him in and miller in please

So trade him and have Talbot start 55 of the last 61. Let's see where we finish in the standings then. You seem to think that would be better that putting that perrenial loser in net.

I stopped coming on here during the GTDs after our horrible start because it was turning into a school teachers and parents council night where the regular sodas have too much sugar, the diet sodas have chemicals, the juices aren't natural enough, the milk has artificial growth hormones and water is unacceptable because they're paying taxes and deserve to have more but won't contribute a dime toward paying for all natural juice.

Lately though, the negativity seems like where it's always been and it's finally feeling normal again. I think I'll drop by the next GTD.

I realize I'm overreacting, that's why I mentioned his PPG. The guy is driving me to alcoholism. His 2nd best attribute after his speed was his shot. His shot has looked peewee. I can't stand watching him blow breakaway after breakaway.

The penalty shot went between Rask's blocker and body; hit his body and went just wide. That was a good shot and Rask got lucky; the second one I believe hit the shaft of his stick; again fortuitous for the goalie. Snake bitten. When a goalie is playing this well he gets the breaks, like Stralman's shot off the post after beating him cleanly and Richards batting that puck just wide with a yawning net. Rask was great, got breaks and beat us.

Not that many really, since the first six games or so. He's no saint (which is wonderful, and means he has a functional brain) but I at least think he has some credit, while I look at Pouliot and just consider him as not having really built up any goodwill or credit whatsoever. Pouliot takes a penalty and just makes you wonder why he is even out there in a Rangers sweater and given the opportunity to take a penalty.

they should have won

nash looks a little rusty, a little timid. that will get better as he plays more and absorbs hit, etc. kreider was excellent. caught some bad luck on the pen shot and the break away but thats life. at least he is engaged out there all over the ice. bruins had no business winning but what can you do. i am pissed that miller gets scratched for pouliot. at least with miller he bring hustle every shift, physical play, and will go to the net. pouliot is a bonehead and shows up once every 10 games. get him out of here. all and all it's not a terrible loss. they had enough shots the pucks did not find their way to the back of the net. at least they have something to build off of.

So, we start a tough road trip with two home games down the drains...great.

2 goals in 3 games, I can't believe it. Kreider and Zucc should hit a bar and figure out a scoring plan.

Ranger fans arent allowed to give credit to opposing goaltenders  Its always "we suck or we have no finshers"
