I just want to go on record and say that I've seen prettier war crimes than our Powerplay.

Seriously.

Geneva needs to step up and classify this as a human rights atrocity for what we are subjected to.

He's a good defensive center because he has the ability block shots and play on the penalty kill. He's offensively inept, skates as well as Rupp, has the turning radius of an 18-wheeler, can't shoot, has no peripheral vision...

He's a good defensive center because he blocks shots, hits and plays on the PK, what more can you ask from your 3C? :help:

Boyle was exactly 90th in scoring amongst centers with 26 points and 83rd in goals scored amongst centers. Those are pretty much the typical numbers you should expect from a center that gets no PP time and spends the majority of his role against the oppositions top line players in the defensive end.

Had a dream that Torts benched Stepan for the 2nd period, let him back out for the 3rd, and he won the game for us.

Agreed. This is just a very, very slow mass genocide of all Rangers fans :(

Stop using logic, bro. That **** don't fly here.

Instead of looking at stats watch him play. He single handedly kills the offense of the 3rd line. You can put Ovechkin in his prime and Bure in his prime on both sides of him (first 2 good offensive wingers I can think of) and that line will suck offensively. It's much more than points. If you watch Miller, even 2 games in he seems to control the play way better. You have a feeling that someone might make a play when that line is on. On the 4th line Boyle is fine, even good. As the #3 C, we're not cup contenders most likely. That's a huge hole.

I'm by far not a Boyle supporter and would LOVE a more balanced 3C that could put him on the 4th line.

However, i've been one of his biggest defenders this year. Infinitely more useful than guys like Asham for the team.

Here's hoping Miller is a revelation, is able to keep 3C duties, and Boyle can do what he's great at from the 4th line.

Really? Show me these marvelous passes Aron Asham has set up this year. I'll be waiting.

This is classic.

We better watch out for that Stamkos fellah....

Heard he knows where and how to score them goals...

is it just me, or does this season seem to be going pretty slowly? with the nba's condensed season last year it seemed like the knicks were playing every day or two. but with the rangers it seems the next game's always a day or away. proly just me...

Martin Biron, who excelled in the Rangers’ 3-2 victory in Tampa Bay on Feb. 2, is likely to get the start tonight against the Lightning, who traveled by bus from Boston to New York yesterday afternoon after their scheduled match against the Bruins was postponed because of dangerous conditions created by the snowstorm.

Its a 5 hour trip under the best conditions. The NHL announced the game was being postponed at around 2pm. Massachusetts lifted the ban on non-essential vehicles at 4pm. No ice available at the Garden this morning. The Knicks are playing the Clippers at 1pm. Chelsea Piers on short notice? TB played on Thursday. Was that the last time they skated?

Gotta say that it is nice to see Larry Brooks back and pumping out articles again...

We need points bad. The Flyers passed us last night (even though we have games in hand)

Lets go RANGERS!!

This will be the first game this year I can't attend because I'm snowed in...3 feet of snow and still my roads haven't been plowed :amazed:

Good info, at least now the Rangers won't be the only team that look like they're skating in mud. Not sure if I agree with Biron getting the start here, Hank's the kind of goalie that likes to keep playing and get a streak going, so hopefully he doesn't look cold in Boston after 5 days rest.

Also, coming from someone who went to school in Boston, in ideal conditions it's not hard to get there in a little over 3 hours :naughty:
