Not to mention he drew a 5 minute penalty for Carkner's antics, and if our PP didn't suck and scored twice on that Boyle would be an even bigger hero.

He also scored in that game. MVP of the series after Hank imo.

How quickly people forget. And then they blame him for firing the Sens up and getting them back in the series. But getting under the skin of their best player (something this fanbase worships Sean Avery for) meant nothing.

He had a good series. Not sure about this MVP stuff. I'm thinking McD was pretty awesome in that series as was Danny G.

Asham should fight Boyle during the pregame skate and the winner takes the spot. So basically Asham takes the spot because Boyle can't fight. Also, Boyle is an incompetent hockey player and certainly not an NHLer and definitely nothing compared to the great Arron Asham

Probably Murray. the Sharks are dying to move him. Boyle cannot get us Clowe unless we add big time. Also, often trades are about "need" and Boyle and Asham have different roles. So that doesn't matter. As for the other guys, don't know what the Sharks think of them and neither do the posters on the main board. They are "posters" after all.

That's my opinion on the subject, and that's all I'll say

To be fair, who is he passing to? Powe or Halpern? Not really that much of a concern on the 4th line. Not like the 3rd line where he would have been playing with decent offensive players.

Boyle has never proven that he can be effective on the wing. I don't know where this comes from.

Halpern has some offensive ability. If BB could set him up he would score enough of the time. That's a cop out.

ferriero can skate, boyle cant

asham can pass, boyle cant

both can carry the puck i to the zone, boyle cant

boyle can win a face off, not if he beats out asham and plays wing
