Please provide a link to whatever Friedman said. He's a sports journalist, not an unimpeachable arbiter of facts, but I respect the guy. Exactly what did "they" lie about?
They had an early date circled since not long after the surgery, kept it hidden and provided a false date to the media. This led people to believe the situation is worse than it is. Generally what teams do is just leave a big window if they're not sure.
I posted the Marchand interview above where he reveals it.

Not sure why I have to provide proof. I'm not really into making up random shit like this. If I'm saying it, I'm saying it for a reason.

If they do get blown out, I'm wondering when the Penguins start getting questioned like the Blues and Leafs.

We do have the 3rd best coach in the league so!

Third, eh? The moral victories are super comforting.

I dunno about any noise being made yet. It's still so early in the year. If they suck by the 20 game mark... well...

Plus really what is the team gonna do? Fire the video coach or something? Everyone who matters is impervious.

I mean I agree. I think we are the only corner of the internet that hates Sullivan.

Wish they went to the Olympics so the real world could see how much he sucks tactically sometimes.

I don't even HATE him. I wish he'd just go back to being the Old Sully

...

Straight from the go Sully?
Chop up the soul Sully?
Help this team find a way to score some goals Sully?

They’ll win if we all start cheering for the logo and not the name on the back of the jersey.

Start some cheers for the coach too.

Prosecute the illegal streamers.

Anarchy!

Oh certainly not, no. I can't djent, bro.

I don't like... HATE metal or anything. I have some friends who are fans and I don't complain if they want to show me something. But it's not really in my every day musical inventory or whatever.

oh word. I wonder who that is..

I was a hardcore punk kid. Which is why I probably rub everyone the wrong way lol.

Not sure. Last album we made is like... a psychedelic synth-heavy lofi record haha

My friends were all hardcore punk kids growing up. Which is probably why we get along fine.

This does not not say what you think it says. In terms of his recovery, Elliotte clearly says, twice "all the credit to Marchand". You are manufacturing motive, while making unsubstantiated indictments. Friedman's use of the term "dishonest" when generically describing how sports teams handle injury timeframes and disclosure was a poor choice of words and does NOT in any way suggest nefarious intent by the Bruins as you imply. He was merely implying standard practice. Surgeries result in PROJECTED TIMEFRAMES of absence. Marchand's surgery was 5/17. At that point in time the procedure was described to the public and a 6 month rehab timeframe was indicated. If you want to make a claim of whatever you'er claiming, top secret "circled dates" or whatever, then that would be the time to do so. We should have heard outcry about how overly conservative that timeframe was. But we didn't, because that point is ridiculous. NO ONE KNOWS. Of course estimates will be conservative.

Bruin's media day was October 10th.

Here's what Marchand said then:

"Yeah, as long as there are no setbacks or anything. I don't want to be definitive in what the timetable is, I'm just trying to see how I feel. I haven't dealt with anything like this before where I feel really good but I still have to be careful with where I'm at. My surgeries I've done before, once I feel good I can go. It's not quite like that with this one, so I got to be careful."

This is not enjoyable, and I'm not going to waste anymore time trying to change your mind, while I remain confident in my position. I can't believe I'm defending the little ball of hate. Next week I will present my Haiku, describing the grace and thoughtfulness of Tom Wilson.

I really really really want Sullivan to explain why he broke up the top two lines from the start of the year? Did they even have a bad game when healthy lol? what has Rust shown with Sid? He was fantastic with Malkin.

Glad Poulin is up for no f***ing reason.

The Quicker McGinn is off the team, the better.
