It would be really easy to have Poulin as the 3C and DOC on the fourth line. All it would require is firing Archibald into the sun.
Yeah just keep Caggs up if you are going to bench Poulin.

Glad Poulin is up for no f***ing reason.

Tbf, You could scratch all 3 of those players and be better off for it.Lol people still whining about Archibald at this point.
If anyone on that 4th line should be scratched, it's McGinn.

Not Poehling, Kap. Aside from garbage time points, he hasn't been good at anything.Nah, definitely not with Poehling. He's been good overall.
Archibald has been decent and McGinn has been invisible, but Poehling has been good.
Poehling's 5v5 xg is the lowest on the team (only Kapanen is lower) and our pk has been crap.Nah, definitely not with Poehling. He's been good overall.

Archibald is a joke too. He isnt helping anyone with his 6 pim in the last 2 games. scratch them both

Didn't misunderstand shit. This does not not say what you think it says. In terms of his recovery, Elliotte clearly says, twice "all the credit to Marchand". You are manufacturing motive, while making unsubstantiated indictments. Friedman's use of the term "dishonest" when generically describing how sports teams handle injury timeframes and disclosure was a poor choice of words and does NOT in any way suggest nefarious intent by the Bruins as you imply. He was merely implying standard practice. Surgeries result in PROJECTED TIMEFRAMES of absence. Marchand's surgery was 5/17. At that point in time the procedure was described to the public and a 6 month rehab timeframe was indicated. If you want to make a claim of whatever the your claiming, then that would be the time to do so. We should have heard outcry about how overly conservative that timeframe was. But we didn't, because that point is ridiculous. NO ONE KNOWS. Of course estimates will be conservative.
Bruin's media day was October 10th.
Here's what Marchand said then:
"Yeah, as long as there are no setbacks or anything. I don't want to be definitive in what the timetable is, I'm just trying to see how I feel. I haven't dealt with anything like this before where I feel really good but I still have to be careful with where I'm at. My surgeries I've done before, once I feel good I can go. It's not quite like that with this one, so I got to be careful."
This is not enjoyable, and I'm not going to waste anymore time trying to change your mind, while I remain confident in my position. I can't believe I'm defending the little ball of hate. Next week I will present my Haiku, describing the grace and thoughtfulness of Tom Wilson.

I haven't *hated* Poehling's play, but I dunno that he's brought all that much either. Pretty much all we want out of him is to not get totally caved 5v5 and to be a good pker and neither of those two things are happening.
Archibald is still helping the team more than McGinn is right now.
McGinn is downright awful.
My mistake, thought you meant the 3 guys on the 4th line.
Archibald is doing nothing to help the team except get PK practice. Please tell me how he is helping them. Like I said both can sit but Archibald has been awful too.
Lol. I watch every game as you know considering I post in every PGT. Don't resort to that garbage, you're a better poster than that.Actually watch the games instead of just looking on NST. Poehling has been noticeable and effective in his role.
It can only be really bad if it's the difference between making the playoffs and not. Otherwise it's whatever tbh.this could be really bad
this could be really bad
I almost agree but imo Archibald has been pretty decent. Better than I expected.Tbf, You could scratch all 3 of those players and be better off for it.
Because Archibald actually somehow presses play with his speed and brings physicality to the 4th line.
Whining about him right now is just grinding an ax. Him taking 3 penalties in 2 games doesn't magically mean he sucks.
they were down 3 - 1 in the canucks game with 4 min left and he got a dumb penalty to seal the game for the canucks. That is terrible. Penalties are one thing but you cant take them at the end of the game like that.
Spare me the physicality. He hasnt done anything to make this team feel intimating. Id rather have vanilla ZAR at least making the pk better and playing defense.

Yeah, I don't get the obsession with defending Archibald some Penguins fans feel.
He's a borderline NHLer who stinks.
