@slocal one of my favorite bands (Drab Majesty) was doing an eBay auction for a bunch of stuff and I grabbed an Earthquaker Park Fuzz repro. This thing sounds amazing. Very old school octave-y fuzz but you can push it into a super heavy Muff-y fuzz.

I usually don't do a lot of pedal gain, but this thing might replace a lot of my lead tone.

Oooh, germanium fuzz! I gotta watch some vids of it at full volume. I know if I had one, I'd play nothing but Wolfmother, lol.

Excellent score! Did they sign it? Either way, what a cool piece of gear to have and be able to tell people about. I'd love to own something from Rocket From The Crypt, Ministry or Ramm.

I'm jealous!

Ministry, hell yea. My brother put Psalm 69 on a cassette tape for me when I was maybe 11 or 12. Saw them with Death Grips a few years back at the Warfield in SF. Jello Biafra joined them for the encore so I kinda sorta got the Lard reunion I always wanted to see.

They did sign it! Was stoked.

Dude, it's an heirloom now!

Ministry released a single with Jello last year called "Sabotage is Sex." It's so damn good. Made me immediately put my DK playlist on afterwards, haha

Listening to it now. Man, I'm so stoked. I hope this means they're doing another Lard record. The last one came out in 2000 so it's been way too long. Jello + Ministry just works.

I saw DK maybe 10 or so years ago at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. Wasn't Jello on vocals but it was still super cool to see Ray DH and Klaus. They all hung out after the show and were super nice too.

Yeah, putting Jello's lyrics and voice to Ministry's might is just a perfect combo. Dare I say I like LARD more than RATM. I know...heresy

I definitely had a DK patch on my backpack in middle and high school. They'll always be examples of legit (pulling out of gigs when they find out there are corporate sponsors, etc). Last time I saw them was at Uptown in 2012 or 2013.

I don't know if I'd go that far myself, considering I'm a big RATM fan, but The Last Temptation of Reid is up there with some of my favorite albums of all-time. Grabbed it on vinyl recently when Alternative Tentacles re-issued it. The Power of Lard EP is another of my favorites; I used to listen to all of Time to Melt on public transit.

My brother is a huge DK fan so I was exposed to them pretty young. A band I'm in was talking about playing Moon Over Marin for a show at some point. And agreed, definitely a group that stuck to their guns. Just unfortunate that Jello and co. could never really bury the hatchet.

This is getting into the later years of Ministry.
Twitch introduced me to industrial music. It led me to Front 242, Skinny Puppy and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Ministry moved quickly into a sound I wasn’t prepared for and just never could get used to. I guess I wasn’t that angry. Lol.

Skinny Puppy is still one of my favorite bands of all time. They basically got me into electronic music. One of the best live acts I've ever seen as well.

We saw them on their Too Dark Park tour. Absolutely mesmerized, it was as if I was watching Se7en onstage with pounding music.
I wish I could've seen them back then, either TDP or Last Rights. A buddy of mine saw them around then as well, he said Godflesh opened for them and it was one of the heaviest shows he'd ever seen.

I didn't see them until 2009 or so (I was 16), but that was still one of the most intense shows I've ever seen. Saw them with Front Line Assembly and Youth Code a few years later.

Shame on me for forgetting to mention NIN. The day I bought Pretty Hate Machine, I drove and drove, strangled by the noise coming through my speakers. I ended up fat from where I was headed. I didn’t care.

Yeah, I get that. I just got soured on Rage when all my school bullies where big fans and didn't realize they were the ones the songs were about. LARD was mine....all mine.

Also, no one covered Napoleon XIV better, OMG.

True that. It was almost like watching a kiddie show. You know, with sex and innuendo. Great show.

Just in time for hockey season, ESPN+ seems to be raising the price to $9.99 next month.

Kinda irritated Crunchyroll only has the first season of JuJutsu Kaisen. It was really good! Now I just want more. I guess the rest is on HiDive from what I've been able to gather.

I think Toge Inumaki was my favorite good guy. The bad guys are great!!! I find them very amusing. Hanami prolly my fave bad guy.
