I'm thinking we need an OT thread for celebrity death announcements. I'd rather this thread not become nothing but a mausoleum again.
We could call it "Death Note" just to keep things lively.

Started watching JuJutsu Kaisen. Thanks for the reco. (some pages ago) It's really good!

I'm also watching "My Roommate is a Cat." I particularly enjoy the part where they rehash the episode from the cat's point of view.

I don’t quite understand the evolution that took place to get to that point. It’s not like it’s the only OT topic, I prefer food and alcohol posts, or that people are clamoring to know who died today.

I blame the embedded media feature. Why talk about it when the tweet you link already talks about it? It doesn't invite much conversation.

Reminds me of Brooke Shields in the South Park movie. Like, okay...where do we go with this?

Anyone into slice-of-life anime? I'm always looking for stuff similar to The Devil is a Part-timer.

Back Street Girls and The Way of the Househusband are fun watches. Really wanted a third season of Kakegurui.

I've got "The Devil is a Part-timer" on my list, haven't started yet. "My Roommate is a Cat" is pretty good, if you like cats and introverts.

My brother's favorite two slice-of-life that he recommends are Monthly Shojo Magazine Nozaki-Kun and Daily Lives of High School Boys.

Not really slice-of-life per se, but if you like Devil, then Isekai Ojisan would be good too.

I rather enjoyed The Great Jahy Will Not be Defeated! and Chio's School Road.

If someone posts a link here though, the obvious implication is the desire to discuss it on HF Boards where we are all 5-star posters, not in the linked thread full of bots

Only a psychopath inceptions down to the root thread to reply

I cant really do slice of life unless it has romance, need something to keep my interest piqued.

I have heard really good things about Devil is a part timer though

Many thanks for the suggestions! Always good to have stuff to add to my ever-dwindling list!

We used to have a rule about not just posting a link and saying such things as "discuss" for a reason. Seeing as you're responding to actual conversation and not one of the links, well...

@Pavelski2112 I just got my The Tech 21 Paul Landers PL1 Fly Rig and it absolutely RIPS. I still adore my AMT Du Hast pedal, but I just had to add some extra Rammstein sound.
The Tech 21 stuff is cool. There's a bassist I know around here who uses the bass Fly Rig and it sounds killer. I use a Bass Driver DI myself for a lot of stuff.

What are you using for amps/cabs?

Finally caved in last year and got a dual rectifier head and matching 4x12 cab. Blows my old Jet City Solano set up out of orbit, haha

Yoooo, I got a Trem-O-Verb a couple years back. Gotta do the Mesa thing if you're trying to get the Rammstein tone. I ended up grabbing a Mesa 2x12 as well a bit later. I already had a Crate BV 4x12 loaded with V30s. I've always been a big Mike Einziger/Dean Ween fan so when the TOV popped up I had to do it.

The market on them now is ridiculous. I remember a couple years ago I saw a Rev G pop up for $800 but I didn't have the money at the time. Now you can't find them for less than 2k. Same with 5150s. I bought my block letter plus that Crate cab for $750 total in 2017.

I know Richard has pretty much a truck trailer full of equipment to get his sound but Paul just wants a simple rig. I love that contrast.

Your purchase back then pretty much convinced me to dig in and finally go Mesa. I vultured a local shop that was going out of business. The set was a consignment that was sitting for two years. I ogled it every time I went in for strings or a seasonal set up on my KH-602 (I don't mess with FR bridges). When I inquired, I was told the owner never contacted them back, so they let it go for $1800 cash. It's an absolute dream!

Ween is so damn underrated.

Karens and Stans. I still don't understand.

Sitting down to watch a MST3K Jackbox (whatever that is).
I know what a "Karen" purportedly is. Not entirely sure what a "Stan" is, nor a "Jackbox."

MST3K is a joy, though.
