You do not want to sign Tofoli, but you want to sign Lindholm. your rationale please.
Lindholm a 3 zone center strong on faceoffs and in own end - Selke-DNA

Toffoli a winger not strong defensively not a center and 32 already - Lindholm 29

I am looking for a center to play with and support Pastrnak both offensively and minimizing his turnovers becoming high danger odd rushes

Newton, MA.
Love those el cheapo moves it paid huge last season. I would love jvr back at a cheap price too. He put almost 40 points.
Most of them were probably in the first half of the season, before JVR was felled by his mystery illness, which caused him to lose an alarming amount of weight.

Wish James well but believe the end is nigh. The Bruins should be able to find an effective replacement for modest dollars.

Conceivably, they could also use Frederic and the Geek in that role.

*In addition to whomever they bring in,* not those two alone.

I understand the pressure Sweeney and management were under to put that kid on the roster, but in my estimation, they wasted a year of growth with this kid he should have gone back to JRS. for a year and worked on his game and tried stronger. I think this kid at the very least play on Providence to start the season, rushing this kid could end up being a huge mistake. I also believe anyone thinking this kid is ready for 1st or 2nd line shifts are out of their freakn minds.
Matt Poitras and Shane Pinto had the same amount of points 5v5 last year. Pinto played eight (8) more games. Poitras had three more goals.

100% with you here. Love Lindholm.. No interest at all in Toffoli at his age, and price.

This offseason is not for the bargain bin. That was last season. This is go (relatively) big or go 🏠

I agree. I'm not saying Beauvillier should be our biggest acquisition in July. There's never a bad time to try and buy low on a player who might have something extra to give. Beauvillier fits the bill I think.

Toffoli a great teammate and scorer - if you could have him be your 2009-12 Michael Ryder as a third line assassin at 3-4 M for 3 years I’d listen

But they need Lindholm and year 7 he still plays about half last year of contract at 35 not that worrisome

"oh, the movie never ends, it goes on and on and on....."

Kenni is a reliable source???

She is funny

She’s young and has hosted I think Dirty Water - but she’s out and about and her source could be one of the players she may know. Boston isn’t that big and you can run into and know so many people

It’s weird how this works - she’s not sitting around breaking news or calling in favors but I certainly wouldn’t call her a fraud

Being a center is a plus for Lindholm, being a goal scorer is plus for the Bruins, Age favors Lindholm, but with deal he is looking for when he at Tofoli, age he will be much more costly, and personally I, think his best days are in the rearview mirror. I have always like Toffoli, but I tend to agree might be best to skip over him also.

In order to provide Sweeney with some guidance around how to navigate free agency, my wife and I bought a brand new car today and we definitely brokered a deal that is the equivalent of getting Lindolm for 7x7.25.

Feeling good!
No I am not.

One thing with Tofoli . He will likely get a contract that ends at an older age than Lindhom's contract does.

I guess it boils down to whether you believe Lindholm is already a declining player, or is he still the same player and his circumstances have caused his offensive decline the last couple of year.

Both are good players ... IMO Pinto has more upside, bigger at 6"2" 192 lbs, faster, stronger. Had 20 goals 2022 season at age 21. He had a very strong WC with 9 pts in 8 games. I do believe the bruins are interested in Pinto.

I like Toffoli - but at 32 I’d want 3 years max and below 5

I still want to see Lysell get legit shot 15 minutes on third line with Freddy & Geekie or Heinen

If Lysell is good and can go up to line 2 the Bruins world just got a whole lot better

@DominicT I need to stock up on ground beef but only 80% lean is on sale this week and my family prefers 90%.

Should I just buy the 80% now or do you think 90% will be on sale soon?

TIA
Go to your local farm, better food and costs a little more but personally I get fuller on food without steroids and the rest of the crap they put in most food.

This will be my only public service announcement on food, still eat Taco Bell so.....

Would you rather try for Laine?

Can we all take a minute to ponder Coyle as 2C? We all know he belongs on the third line. Coyle as 2C is not ideal. Just my 2 cents, probably not worth a penny.......
I am on board with you, to me the main focus should still be two new center, wing to replace JDB and a couple fast, tough wingers for the third and fourth lines.

OT, is it?

There's one near my new digs in Newton Highlands.
We have one in Portsmouth and it is awesome.

I would bet on Pinto finishing the year over Poitras for one, Poitras, last 10 games he had zero goals4 assists, that was a result of him physically, not being ready for the grind. Pinto is better on faceoffs, had nearly a hit a game, blocked shots. Your making this about who is better, Pinto is ready Poitras is not. Bruin's are not getting Pinto, I get that but if they ever had the chance now you grab him and let Poitras develop, and maybe in the future we would have both and you and I might actually be happy.
