He doesn’t get overrated. He gets media attention. There is a big difference.

There is a reason the Kelce brothers were the story on the Super Bowl, people cared. The cool stuff Zegras does appeals to casual and non-hockey fans. This isn’t rocket science.

They are only -99 cause zegras doesn’t play defense…. You put boldy caufield dach or cozens on that roster and they are +4 min

It’s not really a shot at cozens, just simply pointing out he plays on the 3rd highest scoring team in the league, and top 5 powerplay…. It’s gunna help your numbers a bit. I like cozens , he plays a great style game and he’s a really good fit on that Buffalo roster

Zegras is on worst scoring team, and 2nd worst powerplay

I think zegras keeping a respectable pace despite our clown coaching staff and ahl roster is fairly impressive

You get Bedard and you will be in the PO in 2024-25 or the next year the latest. . Bedard, Terry, Zegras and McTavish would be a ridiculously great core of Forwards. Can't imagine Ducks wouldn't be able to lure several FA to join. If they get Bedard
and keep some veterans like Gibson, Fowler and Henrique they will be fun to watch.

It doesn't really matter who their forwards are unless they completely revamp their D in one season most of their guys are a few years away.

Hughes Seider
Maybe byram?

Still early to say but I think zegras and Hughes are only 2 that have put up back to back 60+ point seasons. He’s 2nd in points in draft class. It’s not unreasonable to have him in to 3 with Hughes and Seider .

As for overrated, I think he’s done a great job building his brand…. And unlike most superstars he has a personality people want to watch and listen to. Nhl needs some guys with a little more personality if they want to expand.


Matthews Mcdavid and eichel are painful to watch

I mean they have Drysdale, Mintyukov and Zellweger. Obviously the last 2 arent ready yet, but I don't think its that far into the future that theyre both playing in the nhl. Also have someone like LaCombe whos having a great season in the NCAA.

Need at least two minute munchers who focus primarily on defending. Preferably a righty to play with Fowler and a lefty for Drysdale.

Should take a run at Gavrikov if he hits the open market this summer. He wouldn't completely replace Lindholm but could be the Lindholm we have at home.

Lacombe luneau hinds also all looking promising, won’t be shocked if we draft another dmen this year to join that group. Still got to add a vet min muncher

No he gets overrated and a large part of that is because he gets that media attention. It causes people to start hyping him up because hes flashy more so than effective. The Kelce brothers are also the 2 best players at their positions so its not really a fair comparison to a highly skilled, but sheltered forward.

He might live up to his hype completely but right now hes overrated

Its not unreasonable to have him at 3 if youre talking about health as a factor as well, but to me a healthy Byram is ahead of him and I think very long and hard about Cozens as well. I would have him ahead of Caufield for now but Caufields scoring is enticing as well.
 
Ducks will probably get Bedard and then suddenly Zegras is going to take off. Wait for it.
 
Zegras+ Bedard would be a treat to watch moving forward… that’s not even mentioning the other solid prospects coming up for the ducks
