Except Zegras is 21 and getting better and Baezal is 25 and stalling.
Would be torturous to decide if he'd be better off with Zegras or McTavish since the latter had excellent chemistry with Bedard at the WJC. But all told, I don't see Anaheim winning the lottery. It's a shade of a chance finishing dead last and Gibson's heater leading into the trade deadline might have put last place out of reach. It's nice to dream though.Zegras has insane talent. I think everyone knows that the numbers will catch up and he will be a 100 point player at some point. If the Ducks win the draft lottery than imagine him playing with Bedard. Would be an interesting duo like Getzlaf/Perry.
he reminds me of kane so much, he is patty kane with a sprinkle of datsyuk's hands/creativity
Gets bullied He’s not like Getzlaf but when has he been “bullied”?What a strange comparison. Getzlaf bullied players. Zegras gets bullied.
Kane is Kane without his brain. He's Kane without his brain.
Yep. That’s the thing with a bunch of his plays - it really isn’t showboating, he’s just able to execute certain high-skill plays to a degree that they are just regular tools to him and regularly present themselves as the logical/easiest solution when there’s no substantial risk of not being able to execute the play involved. This is another nice example of that.Strangely I think that was his best option to score there
sick.

54 points in 64 games on a very bad team is pretty good
I enjoy that you mentioned both mustard and hot dogs in this comment, solid content.Yeah, it was either that or try and roof a backhander shortside.
That move was the only way to get back to his forehand. And you do see that attempted somewhat often, it's just not usually converted.
It's hard to get enough mustard/elevation on the shot going against the grain to score, Zegras did. Nice move.
Far from showboating or hotdogging.
Yeah we all need to ketchup to his comment and relish in the opportunity so to speak.Sick move. Cracks me up that people see this and get upset lol.

That settles it, I'm having hot dogs for lunch.Yeah we all need to ketchup to his comment and relish in the opportunity so to speak.
Prob his cockiness.I don't know what it is about that kid.
Its hard to put my finger on it. I think part of it is that he plays it off that he's genuinely clueless why he rubs people the wrong way.Prob his cockiness.
He also isn’t the “norm” in terms of hockey players…. He’s got a big personality(for better or worse), where most star players are pretty boring/uninteresting.
Those aspects are going to make him a very popular player, but he’s also going to get a lot of haters for the same reasons.
Was that move impressive? Yes.
But was it necessary? Also yes.
I get why people dont like him. What I dont understand is how hes been labelled as overrated. I dont recall him ever being hyped as a generational talent who would rival McDavid or Crosby. I think it's mostly salty Canada fans still bitter about the World Juniors who run with the overrated narrative.
