Penguins need a new coach, a 4C (Jankowski is terrible), and another top 9 forward. We have horrible depth in the bottom six.

Islanders

Needs

1. High End Scorer(more so likely on wing)
2. Replacement for Lee(middle 6 LW)
3. Depth Defenseman(I like our 6 but if we have an injury we need that guy to step in who is better than Hickey)

4. It might make sense to trade for a center who can play wing instead of trading for 2 wingers(assuming we don't get the top line forward) so I might go for a winger(high end or Lee replacement and a center). We have 4 solid centers but our depth is terrible after that

Trade Bait

1st in 2021
Colorado's 2nd in 2021
Our and Colorado's 2022 2nd rounder
Sebastian Aho
Bellows
Bode Wilde(and a host of other lesser prospects)

Extra value for a team willing to take Hickey or Komarovs contract back

Being that Ekholm is most likely staying in Nashville what would the cost be for vatanen from New Jersey?

assume the expectation is UPL and veteran goalie next year?

That's the assumption. We are wondering if it will be UPL once healthy and vet (Anderson) down the stretch but that supposes that Anderson doesn't go anywhere. The tidbit that his family are still in Parkland, Fl makes the possibility of him providing vet backup to Bob in the Panthers' lineup some interest to me. Anderson's been great for Buffalo, even if it's just 7 starts so far (he got trucked by Hertl and hurt something - neck, shoulder, noggin, something up high).

And Luukkonen has outperformed where many thought he was at developmentally. He looked like he could do the job. That then frees up the AHL crease for one of Levi or Portillo next year too.
