the team was playing really poorly well before covid hit them hard. regardless, who besides barzal, wahlstrom, dobson, sorokin, pelech, pulock and I guess Lee and Nelson do we really want to keep moving forward? The team is not good at all.

Wouldn't hurt to have a 3LD and 3 RD, but doing the RD would need to have a trade involving Barrie first most likely (we need a shutdown defender back there and need the cap space from trading Barrie to make it work).

I'd be okay with trying to find a 3RW if we can find a deal to move out Yamamoto to fill a different need as well. I like him, but we need to add some scoring and size, and Yamamoto doesn't have one, and isn't bringing the other.

laff will stay at 1rw and kakko hopefully slides at 2rw. Chytil can move to 3rw if we get a good center.

3LD is next but I would rather see them fill internally using Jones.

yeah we are in a weird spot. Laff and kakko need the ice time with good players to develop. But we are also looking to win now. But Laf looked good the last couple games. He needs to get an extended look before TD to see where we go

Ship away pending UFAs at the deadline, and rebuild/retool in the offseason. Focus on bringing in picks/futures.

Start fresh next season with a new coach and new system in place.

Unfortunately, every win in the next month will just reinforce GM Jim Nill's belief that this team is a contender, and we might end up seeing good players walk away for nothing.
