stopped reading w/Francis at wing
That was literally a line that was played when they were all Penguins.

But it was saying by own rules. Gonchar for sure, I forgot him. But 60 games of Zubov before I was born doesn't make it to the list. It’s about players I cared most.
I agree with this. I threw Zubov on my roster because there are no rules. But he’s less a Penguin than a Star.

I know Smyth is an Oilers icon, but should he really be on their all-time team?

You have so many other options at forward: Taylor Hall (Hart winner), Bernie Nicholls (150 points season), Damphousse, Ray Whitney, Arnott...

I'm gonna be honest, Taylor Hall skipped my mind, but yeah. Smyth scored a ton of goals for the Oilers though too, so it's not just a purely sentimental add.

How the F do you counter that line? For the Habs I'd send in:

Bob Gainey - Guy Carbonneau - Claude Lemieux

Tough, smart and a bit dirty. A bit. Heck I'd sent them against any offensive line.

No Cournoyer, or Lemaire? Also, Weber played his best hockey elsewhere. You could argue Chelios did, also, but at least he was in his prime

Quite the checking line, though.

This lineup is less service and more so trying to make the best team. If you're leaning more towards service, @UnSandvich probably had the right team.

Also I just wanna see some of these combos. Leetch-Fox. Imagine seeing that.

Imagine being along the boards against Kreider-Messier-Jagr.

If these players are all in their prime I am most definitely including Weber

I am sure there is better players (as I left off a lot) in certain spots and/or people will say why not X over X, but this was just my quick list off the top of my head
Kurri, Kariya, and Selanne spring to mind but they were anything but great in their one season a piece in Denver.

I like how the top three lines have all different looks, You got the "I know where my linemates are at all times line, The Holy Moly Skill line, and the Hardworker line.

Each D-pairing has a stay at home guy and a more offensive minded guy.

Brodeur and Schneider are elite.

It might not be the best team listed in this thread but its definitely a team that is multifaceted
